Only one I know of/own with the changed song, is the vhs with the neon striped border on the cover art.
The Mersh brothers was Frank and Philip Marshall.

Wot?? Don't confuse me ;) Where does that song appear? What's the name of the song and which song does it replace? What's the significance of the band members of The Mersh Brothers? So, you don't know anything about this I Am A Warrior song then?? Does anyone?? Please help me!!

Frank Marshall (of the "Mersh Bros") was executive producer of the movie.

Thanks 9th!

So let me get this straight: on your "neon striped border" version of the video, this unnamed song replaces Nowhere To Run, right? Is it only on this version of the video? Anyone know the back story on this? I take it it was some kind of rights issue, but why only this version?

Still no one knows anything about this I Am The Warrior track or do you think it's a case of mistaken identity and in fact, some people may think this Mersh Brothers track is called I Am The Warrior for some reason?

Checked all 4 of my UK vhs today

Origanal CIC pre-cert has nowhere to run then the Green striped CIC one has the other song the nthe CIC Hollywood gold vhs also has the other songand finallythe blue case with red writing paramount vhs goes back to nowhere to run

Hope this helps, and nowhere to run is way better than the other song and vhs are way better than DVD or even blu-ray!

There was always some debate as to what track was Night run. Being that it comes up on the original release credits, I always assumed it was the guitar riffs that play during 1 of the DJ scenes. Unless they had a fortune teller amongst the production crew, they wouldn't list a track that wouldn't appear till 4 years in the future. Or did they foresee a problem with music rights (being that they couldn't get the Martha & the vandellas version)?

Well, I can confirm that the "other" song is NOT Night Run by Mersh Bros. For a start, Night Run is an instrumental track. Furthermore, having listened to it, I think I recognize one of the riffs from the movie, now I just gotta try to pinpoint it exactly... This just leaves the question: what is that other track and who sings it... :?:

Your theory is sound! The song with vocals is definitely NOT Night Run. I'm gonna check the guitar riff you're referring to because I think you're spot on there!! You're quite the sleuth! ;)

How about using the SHAZAM app while the song is playing? It should be able to tell you what song it is.
