What happened to the original figures?

Post by Warrior Ajax »

If you guys see the old models of the action figures they are much better than the ones they are selling now.The old Luther looks waaaaaaay better than the new one. I'm not saying i dont appreciate them but the luther one they are selling is darker and his teeth are messed up. also the cleon they atre selling has a messed up face, the old one is better. Hope they can fix these problems.

C'mon guys you're using pics from the site, pics of figures that were taken at different times. Someone should use the same camera at the same settings to photograph all of the figures in both versions.

But as for the topic:

Swan: The brawl version, it feels like it's more from the movie, because they got his "battle-wounds" right.

Cleon: The original because he gets snuffed ten minutes into the film, but I have the variant so I just think of it as the Cleon from the videogame.

Luther: I never saw any good pics of the original to tell the real difference, but those gaps in his were a little bothersome. But that's it really.

Baseball Fury: The brawl version, because they are involved in a fight scene.

Cochise: Same as above.

I think the figures are the same except that one set of photos are overexposed making them appear a lot lighter.

Keep in mind they were all Prototypes, and will look a little differnt from the ones in the stores. that happens with every action figure.

Guys, for one, the older pictures are prototypes, and 2-ups for that matter. Action Figures are sculpted at twice the size the final product will be. So, those were provbably about 20" tall. The reason for this, is they can get more detail in the final product, as some detail is lost in the shrinkage process.

You will also notice that some of the articulation has yet to be added, or in the case of Luther, taken away (his abs).

Not to mention that the old pics, and new pics have been taken in totally different lighting.

There are always some sort of changes from prototype to final product. Sometimes drastic, sometimes minor, but don't ever expect your final product to look exactly like the prototype.
