yeah, you ain't kiddin, gonz!!!
the blue fury ended up costin me $250 something, after all was said, and done.
but, i did pick up a red/black one yesterday, at the local comic book shop, for $12.50
the guy was gettin ready to send the action figures back, because they aren't sellin!
i'll probably go back today, and grab whatever else he's got!

What store? Is it in Chicago-proper, or in the burbs somewhere? I wouldn't wanna step on your toes if you're planning to buy more, but as Masai said, "the rest is ours."

out in the northern burbs, not the city. i haven't lived in the city for about 15 years!

don't matter though, i wen't back today and all he had left was a "clean" fury leader, and i grabbed that one too.

It's no sweat, SHM. Glad that at least some of those he let go at a discount went into good hands.

It's funny that he let them go cheap NOW 'cause they "weren't selling." If he would've only waited until the game comes out next week... HA HA HA!

Got the dvd today. Just watched the first scene (daytime) and must say its pretty good quality for being copied over from vhs. The sound is great, much better than I thought it would be. Well worth the $20. Thanks Cleon.

*update*

Just finished watching the whole thing, what fun that was seeing parts Ive never seen before. I enjoyed watching this much more than I did watching the directors cut. The deleted scenes I noticed are..

1.beginning daytime scene with Cleon and his girlfriend
2.Warrior introductions
3.Swan and Ajax scene
4.extended Cyrus speech
5.Dj announces that the turnbulls missed their chance
6.Masai scene after the furies fight
7.more scenes of the punks
8.the Warriors talk about Ajax and Cyrus before the punks fight.
9.Extra scene before the Luther bottle clanking.

Im sure there were some snippets that I hadnt seen before, but those 9 scenes above are the notable ones.

oh ya one more scene I forgot about is after Ajax says "Ill bet nobodies even gonna be there" it shows the Warriors walking to the meeting.

heres my samll nice and not so nice review.
so i got the fan bootleg(for a lack of better words) and its not too bad but not too good.

the things i didn't like:
4:3 viewing isn't cool. widescreen man widescreen!
no choice to view the deleted scenes on there own. this was a pisser cause it meant i had to watch the movie yet again....i think i've watched it like 5-6 times in the last month.
the 6 trailers were all craptastical low quality. i doubt its cleon's fault, i'd imagine he had to DL them from somewhere, then put them on disc.
the picture and sound quality of the movie could've been better, some parts were grainy and some of the sounds were muffled likeit was VHS quality.

things i liked:
the new intro is nice, it tells you everyones name where as before you had to listen carefully(or FF to the credits) in order to hear everyones handle. it also explains everyones role in the gang which is important IMO.
cyrus's speech is longer...i mean alot longer. it weird hearing it the way it was cut but its still cool.
the fight scenes with the furies seemed longer as well as the punks. i was kind of tired so i could be wrong.
the photo gallery was nicer than expected. i thought it was going to be a few stills of this and that and that was it, but the cleon used the soundtrack for background music and set it up like a powerpoint presentation with tons of photos...its pretty nice for what it is.

i don't think its worth yet another $15(i now own 4 versions of the film) but i'm glad i bought it.

OK, some clarification is in order.
1. The movie is in 4:3 cause that's the format it was broadcasted in.
2. There was no space in the DVD for the deleted scenes to be included separately. Didn't want to compromise quality for this...
3. The trailers are low quality because they were "telecine'd" from the original 16mm films. I didn't do the transfer and the film's age shows. But, they are absolutely f**in' rare and it's a great deal to have 'm , right?

Please, don't forget that this is a home project and not a pro work.
