Warchief vs. Warlord

In all my other posts, I concede that I'm giving an opinion. But this is a matter of fact. Warchief is second in command. It is just that way. Let's get some official ruling, then I'll let it rest.
you done???
and your not right, you're wrong!!!!!
you think the warriors is the only place those 2 words were ever used???
it ever occur to you that maybe somebody might actually know the meanings of these 2 words, from somewhere else other than the warriors??
trust me dude, i gangbanged back in the early 80's well, pretty much all of the 80's!! LOL and hung with most the gangbangers in my neighborhood, when i was little, little, in the late 70's and have heard, and said both those words, a million times!!! and trust me they ARE interchangable!!!
now for the warriors, they may not be! if we're goin by just the warriors, then you may be right.

Why would anybody make such a point about an issue in here if it wasn't strictly about the movie? It's fiction! The theories and debates I express in here are within the framework of the dialogue and imagery of the movie. In the Warriors, I see it the way I do. In my 100th posting, I agreed to let it go. Goodness gracious!

what?? do ya think they made up those word's, and term's JUST for the warriors movie???
and i don't know about your 100th post, but the last post you made in this thread, was "after you get an official ruling" "you'll let it rest"
everybody can interpet things differently, and looks at things differently.
however, this is not a "matter of fact" and it's not "just that way"
if that's how you see it fine, but you're still wrong! LOL
(just messin with ya man!!) :D

No I don't think they created the English language for the movie. But in the context of a movie, a term can mean something specific to that theology. But I've already said more than I want to about this.

I brought up the issue because I was reading threads with what looked like incorrect information. I believe "Warlord" to be distinctly the term for the Warriors leader. However I am willing to accept that others feel differently.

Well, by "truce", I was thinking, if you were the saracens and I was the Jones Street boys, and the "Warlord" turf fight was over, we could focus on other battles. But I'd say it was a war, because you drew in about 4 heavy hitters and I got about the same. Its a debate that will get supporters on both sides. And I don't mean Orphan-like fans. I mean the people who know the dialogue down to the number of chicken clucks Mercy makes while walking down the stairs. People, like us, who might of spent two hours scouring a scene in slow-mo to see if they can see something. Like Ajax being put into a cop car.

Just for the heck of it, I looked up both "Warlord" and "Warchief" ar Merriam-Webster online...

Warlord: 1 : a supreme military leader
2 : a military commander exercising civil power by force usually in a limited area

Warchief: They didn't have it, so I looked up "chief"

Chief: 1 : accorded highest rank or office
2 : of greatest importance or influence

Actually, going by these definitions, one could say warCHIEF is above warLORD! However I do still believe they are interchangable especialy in the movie.

Just joining in the fun, boppers :)

This is going nowhere. We know people disagree. There is strong evidence on both sides. But let's let it go.

this is supposed to be a place where folk get on not re enact the rumble between the warriors and the punks (which was heavy)

we,re here to discuss the warriors movie and yes i admit their will be disagreements but for christs sake youve got your truce and you,ve admitted its going nowhere so let it lie.

I keep trying. It was over. Then I'm reading posts about what the dictionary says about those words. Others are not letting it go. If you look at the majority of my posts, they are exactly what you say, discussion and friendly appreciation of this movie. SoldierHeavyMuscle and I had come to an agreement but people keep taking shots. BTW there is a poll about this in the game forum.
