I don't think that any gang set the fire like War Chief said they put the fire in the movie so the warriors would meet the Orphans

Yes, They definitely needed to stop the train to meet the Orphans. But you have to dive completely in. Don't get me wrong, I see that there is no clear arsonist. But its just fun to take a perspective. I've heard good points about the Riffs doing it as well as the Turnbulls. One good Turnbulls theory said that the reason the turnbulls weren't there to jump them right off the train was all the cops were around. That bus isn't inconspicuous.

the orphans so low they ain't even on the map but I'm sure they know what was going on by the radio so they decided to make a name for themselves trying to take out the warriors they only pretended to know nothing of the conclave but they had heard somethingand were jealous because they were not invited

Yeah I know it's like if the Turnbull's pulled over and the cop walked up to the driver and said "License, registration and proof of insurance" and the Turnbull replied "What seems to be the problem officer?" and the cop would be like "your tail-light is out, get that fixed."

i guess you could say whatever gang ran the territory right after the turnballs turf but even then, they caught the train in the bronx(we'll say 242 since thats vancourtland park) and got off at 96th street. thats a lot of friggin blocks so theres no real way to say who started the fire unless someone here knows which gangs ran which blocks.

You know, I was just watching that scene and I was thinking, Fox asks the question, "Maybe we ought to worry about..." That question begs an answer.

In my opinion the answer is :PARANOID!!
I know it was put in to spark thoughts/discussions but in truth---after being chased by the first gang they come across, and not having any idea of the true state of things---and his knowing how many gangs/turfs they were going to have to cross to get home---he was paranoid!! ANd said so, so they could all get that way. He didn't have a clue as to the fire's origin, he was just spooked!!
not without good reason, but spooked non the less!

Paranoid? Not the Fox. He wasn't much of a fighter but he was calm, cool and collected. He had to keep his head to guide the Warchief. He probably had the best hunch about who set the fire.

Just because he was calm and collected on the outside, doesn't detract from the fact that he was looking over his shoulder as well as around the next corner.
He was in control of his emotions no question, and it didn't affect the quality of his value to the gang---but he was paranoid, and as much as said so with that question.
he figured someone was out to get them---and any incidence just brought it out, he was looking to get japped---even though he didn't know for sure what the actual situation was. He had less of a clue than we did as to the origin of the fire, he was just paranoid, and saying it to alert the rest that they had better up their alert senses.

I think he was better fighter than you give him credit for---as he took on that cop without question or hesitation, and was still yelling at Mercy while doing it, pretty brave and confident of his abilities to fight instead of trying to get away.but that is just my own thought on that.

Being alert and careful and cautious are not the same thing as paranoid. Paranoid is a strong term. He had reason to be very worried. Paranoia is a hysterical state without obvious cause.

actually defined as: mental disorder characterized by delusions; as of grandeur; or especially persecution.

His case certainly was no mental disorder--and his thoughts may not have been deluted by thinking someone was out to get them, but by reading special circumstances into a very ordinary situation---fires happen every day in a city like that---he was being slightly paranoid. Not that it really matters--cause we won't know what he was thinking anyway.

And as scout his job may well have been to keep everyone aware of the dangers, even tho they all knew them anyway.
Won't come back about this anymore, said about all I can think of on it, and we have covered it from every angle I can imagine. LOL ;) :)
