Youth Worker
When Swan and Fox are trying to keep the peace with the Orphans, Fox says: 'our youth worker, she talks about you guys all the time'. Does anyone else find it hard to believe that the Warriors have a youth worker?
Youth Worker
Not really. If you are ever in trouble with the law you probably get assigned one or go to jail. Easy choice.
Youth Worker
In the book they have one.

Yeah, they have a youth worker in the book, but the average age of the gang in the book is like 15 or 16. In the film, most of the Warriors seem to be pushing 30. I dunno, I just can't imagine Ajax sitting down with a youth worker.

In the film the Warriors only look like they're in the early twenties, except Rembrandt he's probably around seventeen.

I always figured that Fox made up the line about the youth worker just to fit the situation... Guess not!

no, in the 70s and 80s they didnt care at all to take older actors and cast them as teen characters...so id say we are supposed to believe that they did see a youth worker... i wonder if they will use a younger cast in the remake... would make that line make more sence

In the 80s many older actors were playing teens. The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, and Sixteen Candles all have actors playing younger ages.

Yeah, I think Michael Beck and James Remar were both about 30 when they starred in the Warriors. And Judd Nelson's character in the Breakfast Club, he looked like he had been held back at school for like 10 years.
Youth Worker
In 1979 Beck was 30 and Remar was 26.

I'd say Cleon was around 30, Swan, Ajax and Snowball were mid 20's Vermin, Coschie, Cowboy and Fox were late Teens/Early 20s and Rembrandt was mid Teens.
When we see the ocean we figure were home, were safe.
Youth Worker
Actually, Cleon/Dorsey Wright was 22 and Rembrant/Marcelino Sanchez were both 22 when the film came out according to IMDb. No birthdates listed for the others.

Cleon is definatly younger than Cowboy and Fox. Cleon might be the second youngest to Rembrandt.

That's surprising because you would think that the leader of such a gang would be the oldest one there.
