Post by da-warrior »

ill start this off many years ago i saw american gigolo with richard gere(im pretty sure its this movie) in one scene behind him is an advert for the warriors(movie poster),i think this is cool maybe gere is a warriors fanatic or someone on the crew was involved with the warriors aswell, wasnt this movie made around the same time as the warriors ,i find it interesting as im sure they incorporated it into the scene intentionally has anyone else seen this movie or something similar?

It would have been pretty cool for someone who worked on The Warriors to get publicity for the film in a crap Richard Gere movie.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Richard Gere!

Yes it is in American Gigolo. Richard Gere gets a bit roughed up by a guy in front of a theater, at one point pinned against the Warriors poster. I always thought this was not planned but as it is during a fight scene it could have been intentional.

The most recent example I can think of is actually the most recent MTV Video Awards. The opening sequence had music put to it that was based on The Warrior's theme. Seems like either Lil Jon of Mike Shenona (Shedona?) are Warriors fans.

in fact being a JOHN CARPENTER Film Freak..CARPENTER gave the part to THE FOX after seeing him in THE WARRIORS...although i heard the guy is hard to work with...even CARPENTER said so..
