Personally, I think it's a draw. Both of them are tough guys and they both know how to kick ass. It's hard to say, but I think with Ajax and Swan, it would be a battle to the death. Both of them are stubborn too. Ajax has the fire and Swan has the skill. I can't decide. It's a draw.

I believe Swan would win because even though Ajax is very aggressive, he'd be impulsive, make mistakes, and let his anger and frustration get the better of him. Not to mention, he'd probably lead them all into one bad move after another. If it were up to Ajax, they'd have rumbled with every gang in the city, and given the odds, they wouldn't have even gotten past the Turnball ACs. Eventually, someone would've challenged his leadership, and majority would rule in this case. No matter what, Ajax would've gotten it bad. Also, Swan is a much more cunning and intelligent guy, and thus, would've outsmarted Ajax in combat.

Agreed Nick. The fact that Ajax was game for starting fights within the group is cause enough not to let him lead. There they were stranded in the Bronx with no idea of what to do, and all he cared about was "who made you leada?"

No doubt, I would've felt safer knowing Ajax was on my side, but Swan would've spread his wings over Ajax. Ajax was too eager and angry. Swan was cool, calm and collected. He would've eventually out fought Ajax.

I have to agree, Swan would have wore Ajax down and won in the end.
Even tho physical strength, Ajax had the edge, Swan was smarter, quicker and more agile and strong enough. It would have left them both in trouble though, because after that, they wouldn't have had enough energy to get past the Furies or the Turnbulls. Not to mention the loss of blood between them.

Ajax would win the fight if it was allowed to go on. I don't think for a second he would be a good leader. He would go right for the Lizzies, Swan would not. Ajax, I feel, could take any Swan punch and Swan has a heavy punch. Ajax is just very tough. Could Swan take Ajax punches?, not for too long. But I say this not trying to tear apart Swan, who is bad as hell, just saying that Ajax is that strong.

Muscle on muscle, ajax could have battered swan, unfortunately i dont think the warriors would have made it home if he was the leader, and i dont think the other warriors would have left swan lying in the graveyard and followed ajax straight away, wether he was warchief or not

I totally agree, Ajax would have kicked swans head in, but he would have probobly got the whole gang caughed by cops or killed by another gang.

Swan has my vote because he would think but with Ajax if he saw the Punks Outside the Washroom at Union Square he would take them on right then and there. But with Swan he would think before doing fighting, Also with Ajax he would get the whole gang if he was War Chief/Lord.

I think you guys are overestimating Ajax's power. Cleon doesn't seem to have much respect for him at all, which leads me to believe that he musn't be THAT good of a fighter. "You just soldier and keep your mouth shut". If Ajax was that good of a fighter and SOOO much more of a brawler than the other warriors, would Cleon condescend him like that? Im not sure..

Swan Is second in command because he can fight with the best of them, and has brains, street smarts, and ..well he would beat Ajax.

Swan is a great fighter but that is not why he was chosen. He has the heart of a leader. Ajax is a thug, but a loyal thug. He respected Cleon and wouldn't necessarily challenge him because he cared a great deal for his buddies Cowboy, Vermin and Cochise.
