It's a comedy with a few fairly big name stars, but nobody has heard of it. A guy goes on a road trip to a place that doesn't exist on a highway that doesn't exist and meets some strange people.

ore infor on IMDB here. (gets 7.7)

Yo emissary is that a Sho Kosugi movie?

I just watched Revenge of the Ninja for the first time last night. I actually bought it for five bucks and I heard that Sho Kosugi was cool. Probably the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen, but I laughed my butt off and it was worth every penny!

The funny thing is that the fighting is really stiff and dumb (it's a common thing to see a fight in that movie so well rehearsed and faulty that they actually block before the attack even comes), but every now and then something really cool happens.

And seeing that six year old kid kick the woman's butt -- priceless! Is it just me or does that kid have more skills than his dad?

It was so cheesy and the whole ninja thing and the way the ninjas moved really made me see the inspiration for Real Ultimate Power!!!!

Had to check this out last night after seeing this. Was great!! Can't believe I missed it when it came out. Love this kind of theme death wish, payback kind of stuff. One thats not quite up to the same quality but pretty good is The Exterminator, somewhere in the 80s. Anymore out there?

Sorry fellas, but I just have to get this off my chest.

Boondock Saints.

So El Duce is supposed to be the greatest killer or whatever. So how much do all of those guys suck when the three (I guess Rocco doesn't count) are just blasting away at each other, clip after clip (though we never see the brothers reloading) and after about two hundred rounds by all three there are only a few flesh wounds? Give me a break. They were about ten feet away from each other too.

I can suspend reality, but guys this is like Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle grade stuff, I can't suspend my sense of reality THAT much. There were tons of moments like that. Like how when upside down and spinning they each make perfect headshots, and no misses or anything? There were tons of moments like that.

"THERE WAS A FIREFIGHT!!!!!" Well, no duh. There are bullet holes everywhere. I like Willem Defoe a lot, and I liked that brief reference to Platoon, but really, man. Really.

And all those movie references suddenly? Was that dude trying to make some statement about movie violence? Or vigilantism (sp)? Because it just seemed like he was either trying to say something about how they believe it's right, and they're crazy, or that they're actually right and what the world needs is a few more crazy Irishmen to kill the world's baddies.

See the documentary "Overnight" it's a funny and sad look at that film's director.

But I will say this: When Connor or Murphy or whoever rips the toilet off the floor and kills those dudes, that was cool. And when they killed the cat, that really surpirsed me. Oh and when Rocco goes nuts and kills those three people in the retsaurant.

but that bringsd me to another point. These guys are supposed to be all about justice and stuff, but after they kill the guys in the strip joint (half of whom were probably innocent dudes, but were killed just for being there -- but that could be making a point on the insanity of these people) their buddy Rocco feels up an unconcsious stripper, and they do nothing. Nothing. Rocco is a bigger peice of you-know-what then half the bad guys in the movie, and they do nothing. That joke was't funny either.

This movie wouldn't have been made had Pulp Fiction not existed, and it makes me fear the post-Tarantino new generation of filmmakers. I already know two guys who worship the guy's feet, and make their movies just like him......scary.

but yeah sorry for the length of the post, and sorry if I've offended anybody. I like all you guys and I just needed to say something.....
