This is after Rembrandt even laid out a good first punch to start the fight! And after the start of the film where Swan is obviously looking out for Rembrandt. I always thought Rembrandt was slightly "slow" sometimes or something, I think of him as a little kid in a way who needs the gang the most to feel like he fits in somewhere. That's why for instance I feel The Fox kind of tries to make him feel better in front of the subway map after Ajax asks about how many stops to Union Square, after Cochise makes a harmless joke saying "that's high math for Rembrandt."
I thought Cowboy made up for the Furies mess with The Punks, he kicked some ass there. Great look on his face when he uses that baseball bat on a Punk. The Fox we never actually saw fight so we can't say there, but he seemed useful as far as diplomacy and his duties of course, being the look-ahead type guy, scoping out what's in front.
Fox was cool. Pity he's the only one we know dies for sure!
Well we could have seen Fox fight and make it to the end if Tom Waites hadn't walked out so you can blame him for Fox's death. Ajax and Cleon shouldn't have gotten taken out the ways they did. I liked Cleon a lot and I was dissapointed he got taken out so fast.
We're going in there like everybody else nine guys no weapons
I vote for Rembrandt. I just don' like him...
And for Fox: his death was shocking and real dramatic for me, but that kind of death was a good idea.
Don't get me wrong, I love all of the Warriors, but I think the movie will be boring, when all of thmem surviwe.
(sorry for my language, but I'm from poland)

I agree. But about Cowboy: did'nt Cleon choose him (in cut beginning) to be a soldier. Even Snow and Vermin was taken only to help (music-man and biringer)

Fox?!? Are you people insane??? Rembrandt is the worst... not only does he completely suck at fighting, he's also constantly scared, can;t run and worst of all, can't even PAINT! His "signs" look like a 6 year old's doodles made with a ballpoint pen. I have no idea why Cleon keeps as the graffiti expert someone whose idea of "art" is spraying a crooked S that looks like a stream of piss. Maybe Rembrandt gives Cleon, uh, "other services" and that's the reason... maybe his name isn't after the painter but a certain pink men's club.
Rembrandt appeared too young to be in a gang. Everyone in the gang looked like they were 25 and older. He only looked like he was no more than 15. I guess he was a little wimpy because he was so young and inexperienced. I think Rembrandt was new to the gang so I don't think they had him trained to fight.
Now crawl on by with a fake tear in your eye and think "Isn't he strange?".
But the worst Warrior was Ajax by a landslide. Ajax is my favourite... but the truth is that he was a liability. Fair enough he could kick ass, was tough and all that... but he wanted to do nothing else, he didnt understand that there's a time and a place for that.
And when all gang's from NY to Coney Island are looking to bust your head open... That's just not the time to be looking for a fight.
But, I wouldnt change anything about the film, roles or death's.
I thought Vermin was kind of weak. His job was to be the bearer, probably bought his way into the gang. He was more of a ladies man than a tough guy.
I know a lot of you aren't too happy about going out on patrol. Just remember this. Out of a street family of 120 plus affiliates, you were chosen for this expedition and that makes you special!
i don't hate any of the gang, they all have their special place in the movie. if i had to pick one that i liked the least, it would probably be fox. i felt the character and part were pretty insipid compared to the others.
