what are affiliates

hey i not very smart and i was wondering what are affiliates

Well, because of your join date I'll assume you've played the heck out of the game.

I always figured affiliates to be like the kid in the "Payin' the Cost" (or whatever it's called) mission, the one who rushes in and tells Cleon that the butcher shop has been trashed. They're not real members of the gang, but swear allegiance to it anyways, maybe informants, a crooked cop, a drug dealer or two, perhaps a shop owner that offers up his place as a place to store stolen goods, etc. Maybe people that the gang owes money to or have financial ties with, like Morrie in Goodfellas.

i imagine affiliates are people who work with the gang, but arent members of the gang

Affiliates are Allies I think, people who help out the gang when they need it otherwise stay out of it

a step below the BIG LEAGUES ..in this case gangs

Affiliates are people who supply money and such to the gang. [ store owners, flash dealers, and etc.]
