Airport 77

This was a TV movie that had this jet crash into water but not break up.  It sinks to the bottom of the ocean with everybody alive.  To raise it, they send down some balloons to fill with helium and bring the plane up.

jack lemmon,  lee grant,  brenda vaccaro,  jimmy stewart,  joseph cotton,  george kennedy,  olivia dehaviland,  darrin mcgavin,  christopher lee;

Lemmon was the pilot, Jimmy was the owner of the luxery plane that went down,
the critics gave it about 2 1/2 stars, and it depended alot on if you liked the actors.
THEY were good!!
But it was pretty formula along with alot of the disaster type movies out then.
I enjoyed it, but don't look for it anymore.

There was series of Airport movies all with a 747 in some hopeless situation.  They were trippy movies.  Worth a look.
