Tom Sawyer and Freewill for me. Excellent live group. Best drummer in the history of the planet.

Well obviously I am a huge fan. Like emissary said an amazing live group. If you can, get the DVD Rush in Rio. Shows them in concert in Brazil and it is amazing. I was lucky enough to have 3rd row center for the Hold Your Fire tour. My favorite album is A Farewell to Kings. Favorite songs is tough as there are so many. A few...Xanadu (not from the movie!!), Fly By Night, 2112, Limelight, YYZ, Closer to the Heart, Time Stand Still. I'll stop now.

I LOVE Rush. I've got a deep love for drums and drummers, and there's just no beating Neil Peart. He set the standard. As for my favorite album/song? Hmmm, that's tough. I'm gonna wimp out and say that The Spirit of the Radio is what I like best, just because it features all of my favorites. Best songs IMO- Freewill and Big Money rock my world. Of course Tom Sawyer and Limelight are classics. Time Stand Still is great. They're all good. Rush rocked and they still do. Too bad they're not as appriciated as they should be.

You ever listen to a song a whole bunch and not really feel it and then one day you just do?  Well, I had always preferred the Rush songs that showcased the drummer or were musically strong.  But I was listening to Chronicles the other day and when Time Stand Still came on, it was like hearing it for the first time.  I think because I used to never pay attention to the lyrics.  Anyway, I have a whole new appreciation of that song.

I agree emissary.  You have to be a little bit older to really aprreciate Time Stand Still.

Cool thread man!  I have loved Rush all of my life.  The song I like the most is The Trees.  Its the best song ever.  But I also like 2112, along with all the other songs from 2112.
