sin city
Re: sin city
Never seen this movie, maybe I'll get around to it. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are both great, though Robert has been more influential. He inspired me to buy my own camera (Panasonic AG-DVX100a) and start filming. I saw Roberts's low budget film: "El Mariachi" a few years ago and and since then, I got into films more.

Re: sin city
this was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life! It was drug out and made no sence. It jumped all over the place. The only thing I liked about this movie was the style, but that is it and it ends there. It is a black and white porno.

I thought the best thing about this movie was how it was almost exactly like the graphic novel. I even recognized alot of the camera angles.Â
I wish Directors would make more comic adaptions that accurate. If you haven't read the series yet, you should check them out.  It's almost creepy.
Marv's make-up and face structure amazed me.Â

yes my brother in law(who i got the movie from) said that same thing, that it was like hearing the comic read to you, so i thought that was very cool.Deros wrote: I thought the best thing about this movie was how it was almost exactly like the graphic novel. I even recognized alot of the camera angles.Â

Re: sin city
Mickey R, Clive O, and Bruce W. really did an outstanding job. They took these characters so seriously---you almost forgot about the "comic book" type aspects.
I could identify with the comic book feel right away---but found out, this is NOT a movie you can sit down in the middle of and figure out.
I loved the Marv character--Mickey has always gone for very strange roles, but he is ususally outstanding---the more off beat the better---and I thought this character was outstanding.
I did have to watch it again--to catch up on the beginning, and then I had to tape it so I could watch/think/and analyze again.
I never thought I would care for it--but I did---but it is really strange...
