Another Glitch?

How do you recruit hobos? I've done the bonus objective (I've completed Unleash the Fury 100%) but I hit Y (or triangle for PS2) but I never see a message or recruit them. Help!

You have to keep giving them money. After maybe...6 times or so, the next time you walk up to them, it won't say "Give Money" any more, it'll now allow you to recruit them. But it's not really worth it, because they move really slow, and if you run too far away from them , they'll disappear. Plus, they're not good fighters. But if you want, give it a shot.
