Ending Of The Movie
Well, I just recently thought of something about the movie, and it struck me that I hadn't realized it at the time that it happened. As you all know, when The Warriors encounter The Orphans, The Fox tells all the info he knows about them, and says "Full strength may be 30."
So, basically, The Fox is saying that The Orphans gang isn't that big. And before you guys say: "Well, Rembrant said:" "30's alot more than eight."
I do realize that, but, I believe he was just meaning that at that time. Anyways, now to get on with the meaning of this post. At the end of the movie when they finally arrive back at Coney Island. I believe that ALOT more Warriors should've been seen to greet them. Because at the beginning of the movie, Cyrus said "You're standing with 9 delegates....from a hundred gangs! That's 20,000 Hardcore Members!"
That means that theirs alot more than 9 in The Warriors, or else they wouldn't even be that widely known or even be worthy enough to be apart of The Truce. So, basically I'm saying that I hope they don't make that mistake again, because, everything they said just isn't adding up to the end. Also, how could only 9 guys (now only 6) run the entire Coney Island? I hope you all see my point on this, and please give comments.

Ending Of The Movie
Well I always believed that there were only 9 Warriors. If there were more they would have been at Coney at the end. The reason that the Warriors were invited is because they have some rep and they are in the Riffs network. If you remember Masai mentions that the Orphans aren't in their network which is probably why they weren't invited.
We're going in there like everybody else nine guys no weapons
Ending Of The Movie
If every gang all of a sudden showed up with a hundered guys, the movie couldn't have been made. I believe they call it creative license when all the details are not included and the movie goes along as they need it to. Oh well, it's fun to pick apart and ask the questions also...
"I think they forgot about the truce!"
Ending Of The Movie
You would have thought that the other Warriors would have been in bed at that time of the morning, so they wouldn't have greeted the others. If they'd heard the radio, they might have gone looking for them.
The one and only!
Ending Of The Movie
Well we have the benefit of two openings, one which credibly explains the existance of a larger gang, he other (theatrical version) does not. Aside from Cyrus addressing the enclave as "delegates" it's easy to assume there are only nine Warriors. From a perspective of budegtary retraints it would have been expensive to introduce a larger gang of Warriors at the end (although that would have been very cool). But I operate under the assumption that there were indeed more Warriors and that the delagates to the enclave were merely cut off from them as well as unable to inform them of their plight. Or hell maybe everyone was just out of town for the weekend in the big CI.
"When we get there that's when we've made it."
Ending Of The Movie
Here it is...In the deleted beginning scene, Cleon tells the delegates that whey were selected from over 120 members to represent. So there is a larger group than 9, another thing. The radio DJ is very vague throughout the movie, Who the hell would know what happened unless they were at the conclave or someone who was at the conclave told them. I bet the other warriors had no idea what was going on.
"They're not on our network!"

Re: Ending Of The Movie
In the book it never says exactly how many Dominators there are however there wear alot more then nine (only seven Delegates from the Dominators went however)

I know this seems harmless and it is. but I can't let it go. Rembrandt doesn't say "30 is a lot more than 8", vermin does.Baseball Fury wrote: Well, I just recently thought of something about the movie, and it struck me that I hadn't realized it at the time that it happened. Re: Ending Of The Movie
Here it is in a nutshell.... in New York, in the middle of July (when the film takes place) sunrise is between 5:30 and 6 AM. What high school kids are up at 6 AM in July? And, as someone else pointed out, the DJ was very vague... this is so that only the people in the know know what's going on. They can't give out specifics because the cops would break it up. This is explained somewhat in the book, and seems to hold true to the film. So, The Warriors back home don't know what the hell is going on, and most likely they don't know who these "minor league teams" and things are, or why the 9 delegates would be wanted. In a nutshell... the rest of the gang was asleep, totally unaware of all the insanity that was going on. And, unwittingly, they became the most respected gang in the city.
Nobody lip off... nobody get hot.

Re: Ending Of The Movie
sometimes the ending is meant to be! To be honest i have seen the film that many times it would be almost impossible for me to watch it with a different ending!
