Where were you when you first saw THE WARRIORS?
Re: Where were you when you first saw THE WARRIORS?
South London, mid-eighties... I was five years old watching 'The Warriors' with my brother and my cousin, drinkin' orange juice, totally sucked in by what was happening on the screen. I remember afterwards playfighting and stuff. Those were the days... Sorry if that wasn't 'gangsta' enough for ya!

When I first saw The Warriors, I wasn't really doing much. It's hard to remember, but I guess I was just hanging around the house and I believe I was watching television, and my uncle turned on The Warriors, because it was on T.V. and it was at the part with the Turnbulls just before Ajax flipped them off. To tell you all the truth, I couldn't stand it at first. But I believe I was about 9 or 10 at this time so I didn't understand it which caused me to beg and plead for the channel to be changed. But...it never got changed so I decided what the heck? I'll watch it anyways. So my first time I didn't like it at all. But I got around to watching it when I was a bit older and I just fell in love with it, which will lead up to today.

HEY MAN, I FEEL THE SAME WAY. I SAW IT WHEN I WAS LIKE 3 & I KEPT WATCHIN IT. IT BROKE AND I WAS CRYIN. WHEN DVD'S CAME OUT, MY BROTHER BOUGHT 1 AND THE 1ST MOVIE HE BOUGHT WAS "THE WARRIORS". IT WAS SO FREAKIN AWESOME THE 2ND TIME. THEN LIKE A FEW MONTHS AGO, THE ULTIMATE DIRECTOR'S CAME OUT. I SAW EVERYTHING ON THAT DVD & THE TRAILER MADE ME GO CRAZY. I GOT THE GAME AND I PASSED IT.
IT WAS BAD BUT IT WOULD'VE BEEN BETTER IF YOU COULD RUN FROM THE FURIES LONGER. THEY SHOULD MAKE ANOTHER BUT "FREE ROAM". "THE WARRIORS" HAS CHANGED MY LIFE AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE MOVIE & GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was actually at my Grandfather's place in Detroit with my parents and I saw it on TNT's old showcase Monster Theater. It showed B-ish movies from the 70's/80's like They Live and I think they might have even shown Xanadu. I loved it because it was episodic and the gangs were so distinct. I think because I was say 13 at the time it just stuck as a childhood thing. In the end, The Warriors instilled in me the love I have for all old school gang movies (i.e. The Wonderers)

I was at home.
My mom came home after countless hours of begging her to get it, and we watched it, 3 times in one night.
