Kool Moe Dee is an oldschool rapper from NYC..he was part of a rap trio called "The Treacherous 3"...he also appeared in the films "Wild Style", "Beat Street", "Posse", etc...As far as the music for the remake..I think it should be a little mix of both old and new..would like to see some of the original tracks in the movie, whether they are remixed, remade, or kept as is..that is a must..maybe even let some oldschoolers do the remixes...as far as the new stuff..would like to see Daft Punk, Oakenfold, Orbital on the soundtrack, for the techno stuff...as for the rest...I think a combination of metal, rock, rap, dance, hardcore, etc music would fit in well...peace.

They'll probally tons of rap in there(which sucks) and maybe a couple of rock songs. I hope they dont remake any of the songs either, i could never picture "In The City" being remade.

I actually prefer ABK's version of in the city to the original

It would be nice to have a mix of styles but i'd really would be dissapointed to hear another gang movie fueled by hip hop . I mean think about it do any of you really see the Turnbulls riding around in that bus blasting the new eminem?
I liked the fact that Rockstar games used FEARs "Living in the city" it just fit so well while fighting off birdy.
We already know that the new movie will be extremely diffrent from the classic , it's just the storyline thats basically the same (unfortunately) .So in that being said different scenes will call for different music . I think i metioned in another post that it would be cool if De Vorzon (if not retired) would work alongside new artists to capture some of the feel of the original.
I'm not a huge fan but i think Eryka Badu ( lol) could do a mean version of "love is a fire" , no?
Its just too bad that we even have to have this disscussion , the movie should have been left untouched.

Axl Rose would be good...I also think Alice Cooper would be a good person to sing it too! Thats just my opinion though.

I think they should include a few 80's classics like 'Out of Touch' by Hall & Oates or maybe something by The Outfield.
If there's going to be rap, they might use something like old 2Pac classics.
In The City should definetely stay as it is.

To urinate on the original movie, i'll make my own list.
The Ramones-Loudmouth
Supertramp-Take the Long Way Home
Those are the only songs that would fit with the movie, that I know of.
