I had some Evil Knievel stuff too. A green van with a green scrambler motorbike that goes in the back, and the man himself, dressed in white with a red shiny helmet!
Anyone remember M.A.S.K.? Battle Beasts? Tonka trucks? What about those weird little pink M.U.S.C.L.E. men?
Now i'm depressed...

oh my what a can of worms! ok completing my toy collections from my childhood is my life goal as some of you know.  Tough to narrow it down but some of my alltime faves are
*inch-worm - he was bright green and yellow and you sat on him and he kinda bounced up and down as he "inched" forward. kinda twisted looking now..
* He-Man and She-Ra figures playsets. I was soo into he-man, then she-ra came out! Catra was my fave She-ra and my fave He-Man toys were Buzz-off and the Slime pit
*Spectra dolls. Metallic space Barbie type toys, I have a "buffer" bed for her also. Creepy neat
*Colecovision - my all time fave system. Though I have very special places in my heart for Atari 2600 and Nintendo also. Centipede is my all time fave game for anything.
* Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, and Strawberry Shortcake, everyone knows
*Other dolls- Moondreamers, Jem, Lady Lovelylocks, Golden Girls
*my personal security blanket type toys - A foot tall Ernie from Sesame Street or "Neh-Neh" as I called him. I got him when I was born and as a bratty toddler refused to do anything including sleep, without him. I snuck him in the bathtub once when my mom wasn't looking then was hysterical when he was too wet to  play with for hours. He now has one eye, the other is missing but lovingly drawn in and his hair is pretty non-existant. My other friend til the end is "Al the Aligator" also known as "The Dentist". He was won for me at a carnival when I was about 3 or 4. A cheap stuffed alligator,I used to bring him camping with us and when his vinyl teeth started falling apart I had to "play dentist" and tape them back together, eventually giving him dentures made of that cheap 80's off-white tape.
Ok I am rambling and it is time for me to go yard saling. Hope ypu enjoyed the small peek into my sick toy obsession 8)

Friend had a huge car setup his dad built for him. Was fast and worked really good and was alot of fun. Seemed like the few I've had never seemed to work that great.

A lot of stuff was kinda new and fresh when I was a little guy, silly putty, etch a sketch, slinkys, rockem sockem robots, hoola hoops  life, operation etc etc.

But If I were to pick a fav I'd go with the visible V8 motor model! Was a race car nut then and still am. And probably tied with this would be The Mars Attacks cards from 1962. Best friend and I spent alot of time on these and I'd give anything for these back (and to have stuck a few unopened packs away.)

Any of you young guys got something you really love stick it back. Someday you may want to re live your youth to.

We had green army men and we would set them up in huge battels around the house. We also had strech armstrong(they are brown inside). Slot Cars, Simon, We had a knock off of the Eviel Kanevil bike that did stunts too. And the most voilent toy.... Sock Em Boppers. Me and my brother would start wailing on each other and end up with bruises, and friction burns all over our heads. We never had BB Guns because we had real ones though.

Scurvy Dog wrote: Has anyone here ever seen that "Top 100 Toys of All Time" special on VH-1? It's a lot like those "I Love the 70s/80s/90s" specials, but with all kinds of different toys - including most of the toys mentioned here.

Pretty funny stuff.
Did the programme say what the number 1 toy was? Whatever it is, I bet thousands will disagree!

Action figures were my favourite type of toy. Especially the Action Men of the 80's... short fuzzy hair, rubber grip hands, little switch on the back of his head that moves his eyes left and right, all sorts of fatigues, ooh and I had one that spoke a couple of phrases when you pulled on his dog tag, "What's the password?" being the only one I could make out  :doubt:.
And I had this plastic jeep that you could sit them in too (not like nowadays where it turns from a jeep into a bike into a helicopter armed to the teeth with rockets and guns that make real sparks or whatever). Just a jeep. Green. Plastic. You could really ram it about the place, cover it in dirt, chuck it down the stairs, bounce it in puddles and it would never break.  I loved that jeep .
They don't make 'em like they used to!
