Why is "The Warriors" so watchable?

Post by Anonymous »

I can rewatch this movie several times a year and never get tired of it! My favorite part is the credits roll, with Joe Walsh singing "in the city" and the Warriors walking into the sunset. A perfect scene!

They should have shown Luther getting the Sh#t kicked out of him by the Riffs. That would heve been cool.

Do the Riffs kill Luther or just beat the hell out of him? And do they beat up the whole Rogues?

Good question! I would think the Riffs would wipe out the whole Rogue gang, seeing that they not only wasted Cleon at the beginning, but went after the entire Warrior gang. "I want all the Warriors, I want them alive if possible, if not wasted." This and the scene by the candy store where one of the Rogue members says to Luther: "Yeah, the Warriors, I just don't want the Riffs down on my head."

adios,

Hmm, good question. It seems as though the truce was called off after Cyrus was shot. If this is true, then the Riffs will have to "bop" their way back to the Bronx. Then again, they are the biggest gang in New York, so perhaps others will think twice about messing with them. It is probably a given that the Riffs were only interested in getting revenge for their fallen leader rather than take over burroughs of other gangs.

If I was one of the Warriors, I would have stayed and watched Luther getting his ass kicked instead of strolling down the beach 80s style.

I was one of the Warriors, I would probably want to do the same. But there is also a "respect" factor that was given to the Riffs, afterall, the Rogues killed their leader.

I know, but if it weren't for Luther, the Warriors would have never got into that mess in the first place. I think they should have stayed and thrown in a punch.
