Actually, yes I did know that. I have explained that to a lot of people who have never even heard of Satanism before, and they usually don't believe me. It's an odd name for not even believing in Satan, but I like it. It's really able to fool people. I actually learned that from Marilyn Manson's autobiography and I was quite surprised when I read it. I just saw Manson on television a couple of minutes ago, as for they were talking about music artists using make-up and the kind of impact it makes.

wow I gotta catch up. Ok so that pic of Marilyn Manson with the cake in front of the big ouija board.. yuppers it is him. As far as the problems you and bobo were having.. I am more upset when people i dislike but have to see (mutual friends, co-workers, you know the type) get really into things I like. Being the dork that I am this doesn't happen too often though.  I think it's funny you guys get upset when your friends do it. I mean you want your friends to have similar interests as you right? Well I forget how annoying the politics of high school are, and how clingy people can be at that age, trying to find their place.
And if you are interested in reading about Satanism further check out some of Anton Lavey's work. He can play a mean pipe organ!
And in closing... artists using make-up is always good a thing, whether they look neater (like say Fischerspooner) or more humorous (like Twisted Sister)

It's not that I don't want my friends being interested in the same things as me, it's just this one friend in particular. She is always trying to be just like me and it was all right at first, but now it's really starting to get on my nerves. But I am sure if she were ever to get into Manson's music [though she sorta already is] she wouldn't be so into him & his music as much as me. She never really trys to learn much about music artists she likes...should I say, she doesn't become 'obsessed', and besides, if she even got to know Marilyn Manson that well, she'd probably be scared away. But the point is that she will go on and on about whatever the interest is, to the point where I won't be so interested anymore. Also, I am now done reading Marilyn Manson's autobiography because since I wasn't able to come online for a couple of days, I was sort of forced to read it, so I am gonna try to getting around to reading the book you mentioned.

You can continue to say he's a Goth, and a freak or whatever, but I am not going to say he's a Goth. He looks like one, but I say he's not one. And I thought you liked 'Personal Jesus' too? That's a great song, definitely one of my favorite Marilyn Manson songs.
