Re: Total Nonstop Action
I love TNA, unfortunately I don't see them being any kind of serious competion to WWE the way WCW & ECW were. In fact, if they don't start to change the way they do business, I don't see them lasting much longer at all.
TNA does EVERYTHING, including pay per views, from their little studio in Orlando. They don't do any house shows, and when they perform in other cities it is few & far between. Almost all the money they generate comes from PPV buys, which is no where near as high as WWE. They generate no ticket sales, as everything is free to people who wait on line at Universal studios, and the miniscule capacity (a couple of hundred) of their studio means merchandise sales are at a bare minimum.
Add this to the fact that their cable station (Spike TV) is jerking them around with time slots (Originally they were supposed to go to 8pm on Thursday Nights, then were moved to 10pm, and now are slated for 11pm.) This is even worse than the Saturday 11pm slot they currently have cause at least on the weekends people will stay up to watch.
If WWE was ever serious about raiding their roster, TNA would be powerless to stop them cause they could never come up with the money. The sudden spending splurge by throwing big bucks at Sting & Scott Steiner isn't helping either.
I really do like TNA, and want to see them grow and succeed. It would only help the whole business if their was any real competion for WWE. They just have to make some big changes for that to happen.
Hopefully their major stars like AJ Styles, Abyss, AMW, Samoa Joe, & Monty Brown are still there when they do.

Re: Total Nonstop Action
I think they should actually move around for PPV's to places like Philadelphia I mean they could use the old ECW Arena just like Ring Of Honor usually goes to If they traveled people would know a lot about them.
Another question who is your favorite wrestler and tag team in TNA?

Re: Total Nonstop Action
I think its brilliant and they use ex wwe wrestlers properly unlike wwe who just focus on HHH an rest of the veterans and only a couple of young guys eg, Masters, Carlito, Cena n Orton
Fave wrestler: Clash between AJ Styles and Sting (legend)
Tag team: 3LK before the split now The James Gang
Moment: Prime time moonsault of the cage to Daniels or 1st Ultimate X match

Ah, but this is where I have to disagree with you. Jeff Jarrett has done more to hold back the company and bury young talent than Triple H, HBK, & Hogan COMBINED. Say what you want about Triple H, & I'll probobly agree, but JJ has never and WILL never go a year without his ego making him hold the NWA title.
Look at the past year.........he has buried AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Raven, Rhino............all of them won the tiltle & were forced to job it back to him within a month. It seems that Christian will get a little longer time as champ, but I have no doubt that he will soon join the list as EX NWA Champion so Jarrett can have another title run.

Re: Total Nonstop Action
Yes that is one thing that get's on my nerves with TNA they focus too much on Heels holding the Gold instead of Babyface wrestlers. America's Most Wanted have held the titles for how long? and haven't defended them yet all i want is Raven to come back.

All those guys you mentioned are better then Jeff in nearly everything and TNA don't make the guys contend for Jeffs title (lets call it this cos he nearly as always got it) and they have a fued with a non title main eventer. This is my only problem with the wrestlers on TNA, or yes and Samoa Joe he is too over-rated although he is good.

Re: Total Nonstop Action
For those fans that can't get to watch Impact Thursday at 11, I'll fill you in on the latest goings on from last night.
**************************SPOILERS BELOW**********************************
Well, TNA officially jumped the shark in my eyes last night. The last segment of the show was supposed to feature Sting tell Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner who his "mystery partner" would be to face them at the next pay per view. Well Sting goes into this whole game show thing where he wants JJ & Scott to "choose between tunnel #1 & tunnel #2" to see who it will be. Naturally they refuse to play along, so Sting brings out BOTH the newest members of TNA - Buff Bagwell & Lex LugerÂ
Now, c'mon TNA, didn't you learn ANYTHING from WCW about signing B-list castoffs way past their prime. If you HAD to bring someone new in, they should have just spent the money & got The Rock or Brock Lesnar. I mean, Bagwell lasted about 1 match in his brief stint in WWE (cause it seems he wastes so much energy during his entrance he's incapable of putting on a decent match), and Luger literally had to be helped down to the ring by Christie Hemme (yet another WWE castoff).
In other more interesting news, Christian will once again defend the title against Abyss at the next PPV in a Tables, Ladders, Chairs and chains match.

Marlboro they weren't signed by TNA they were there just for Impact you won't see them in TNA again. Here are the matches for last night too
************************Spoiler Matches for Impact Last night*******************
First Match Rhino Vs Abyss: Abyss won by Black Hole Slam and because Bobby Roode of team Canada landed a Northern Lariat onto Rhino
Second Match Team USA Vs Team Japan: Really good match with Team USA winning Alex Shelley and Sonjay Dutt won by Shelley landing Slice Bread #2 and then Sonjay with a running Shooting Star Press? I forget.
Third Match X-Division Championship: Joe Vs Jay Lethal; The Matched ended with a Musclebuster and then pin by Samoa Joe retaining the championship and still undefeated.

Yeah man, you're right. My bad. If this is the case I don't think it was such a bad move. Sort of like when WWE trots out Snuka or Jake Roberts every once in a while to make an appearance but not wrestle. Just got worried cause TNA does have a track record for signing old WCW talent and having it blow up in their faces (see: Nash, Hall, DDP, Savage)
Last nights was funny too, with Rick Steiner being the third old WCW guy sting roled out. But then when he announced his actual partner, Samoa Joe, that was just brilliant.
I wonder if that means Joe's gonna go back to being a face?
