Fun meaningless fact about Cochise --

Post by StevenFallonNYC »

...I realized while watching the other day. Not including deleted scenes, ever notice that Cochise is the only Warrior not mentioned by name in the film?

Cochise even has the most dated line (in a film that has held up well)..."Fuzz must've got 'im!" I think by 1979 that word was definitely on the way out as it is lol.

Nothing major, just some fun stuff I thought I'd bring up.

Good stuff. I like that kind of info.

Ever notice how Cochise looks like he is going to crap a brick when he hears that Ajax got busted by the cops and Swan was awol? Great expression...

LOL absolutely, his buddy. I also love the *very slight pause" in the middle of his sentence, "are you sure..about Ajax?" Or am I just hearing things??

Yeah, then he turns and says "Shit." I think these two were the greates buddies of the pack.

Now, in regards to your post, wow, I never realized that you're actually right. One never hears "Cochise" in the whole movie! As per the expression that should be obsolete by 1979 I wish I were a native and understand what he meant. Good points.

The subways used to have some pinball games and stuff, but all that has been long gone, too easy to steal from and damage. For NYC residents, remember when Penn Station had a great gameroom? That's been long gone. (Penn Station is a huge subway station under Madison Square Garden that also connects to Amtrak, NJ Transit and the Long Island Railroad.) The subways also had some more bathrooms that were actually open and in use. NYC subways (and the city itself) was a pretty scary place in the 70's and most of the 80's. But now, thanks to Rudy Giuliani as mayor, NYC is the safest big city in America :) :)

Yeah, then he turns and says "sh*t." I think these two were the greates buddies of the pack.

Now, in regards to your post, wow, I never realized that you're actually right. One never hears "Cochise" in the whole movie! As per the expression that should be obsolete by 1979 I wish I were a native and understand what he meant. Good points.
"Fuzz" was a word for the cops, I think it got big in the sixties with the hippies lol and lasted about ten years or so. Definitely doesn't have the impact some other "cop" words have lol. I should look up why they were called that, I bet it's an interesting story!

I am sorry, I couldn't stop myself--I have been giggling about this ever since I signed on.

You have to excuse me--I turned 53 today, and no one in my house even wished me good day!! At this stage, it really shouldn't even matter.
But my mom gave me a cake yesterday--so today, I hit the gym to work it off! LOL

Happy birthday to you as well. Don't feel bad about people forgetting your birthday. My birthday was on the 4th and everyone called to tell me happy birthday. I am still waiting for my little brother to call me.
