Witness to Cirus Shooting

I always believed that the guy who witnessed Cirus shooting was a Rogue. He seems one of those guys tireb of being bullied around. Probably wanted to take revenge on Luther. Any ideas as to what gang this fellow may had belonged?

No, he was a bit non descript but definately not a Rogue - if so something would have been made of it in the movie. Just some dude.

youve lost me here, i thought it was fox who saw luther fire the shot..? then luther sees him then goes to shoot him too then the police search lights hit him in the eyes and fox bugs out!

I didn't even see that kid who told the Riffs that Luther killed Cyrus until one of the Riffs showed him to their leader.

You're right. But I believe that one cannot ignore that this guy was indeed at the conclave. Though there are no gang name on his colors, neither was he or someone similar in the introduction of all the gans, nevertheless he still uses a similar hat to the one belonging to that Rogue who Luther bullies all the time.

The point I was trying to infer was that this was probably another Rogue who was bullied and tired of Luther's bullshit and wasted mind. He sought justice, didn't he?

I've been thinking about this and you can definitely make an argument that the informant was a Rouge. If he told the Riffs that the Rouges shot Cyrus and the Riffs are now looking for the Rouges why would the Riffs still go to Coney Island?? Never thought about that before. If the informer was a Rouge he would know that Luther and the rest planned to go after the Warriors themselves. He would have told the Riffs this and that is why the Riffs showed up in CI, expecting the Rouges to show up as well.

i totally agree with you - i too always thought he was a rogue that was fed up with luther. probably one of the rogues that was sick of being luther's punching bag and figured he could at least save his own ass and get revenge on luther.

Maybe he was gunning for Luther's job nad figured that Luther was an ass anyway so he could kill two birds with 1 stone.

yeah i gotta agree, i think you guys are reading to much into it. dude was just a random hoodlum at the conclave. besides if he was a rogue, they probably would have said he KNOWS who shot cyrus, not he SAW who shot cyrus.

I agree, the informant was just a random guy. If he was a Rogue, he wouldn't have the balls to go up to the Riffs and tell them 'I saw who shot Cyrus, it was one of my gang'. It would be suicide. They would thank him for the information, then kill him, probably with a savage elbow attack. I wonder how they did thank the guy though. I mean, he didn't have to come forward. Maybe they made him an honorary member of the Riffs. The first white member.

You said it yourself..we don't know. Maybe he was beat down after giving the information. Seems pretty split on the matter. Someone needs to get a copy of the original screenplay and see what that character is called!
