Bad words

Post by back2coney »

I understand that swearing is very offensive and not normally needed unless accentuating speach. I was just wondering how people felt about swearing in Warrior quotes as I had noticed some had been deleted. Surely if you come to the site you have seen the film and therefore are OK with the language, or at least accept it.

Yes, I understood from the rules that quoting from the film was OK.  So when I posted in the "favourite line" topic, I was a bit taken aback to see that a word had been deleted from the line I quoted.  :?

Not that it matters, as I'm sure everyone on here knows all the lines by heart!  :)

Don't worry, you can quote from the movie. However, the forum is set up to automatically delete bad words. If you check your post as soon as you put it up, you'll notice the words are replaced with shit.

Speaking of words, what happened to the spellcheck?

Hey em, was there a spellcheck on the forum. I remember enabling it but never saw it!

I'll look into it.

I probally used it at least ten times in the last month or two and see its gone now to. Hate to say it but it saved me more than a few times so I'd really like to see it put back up. ;)

I've had a couple of problems with the word deletion.....in a movie quote from Serenity, one girl talks about a type of engine and it hass the word p!$$ in the name of this engine (cap!$$en) and I came back to find it's been changed to ca[bad word deleted]en. It's very odd.
