I watch every game that the US plays, knowing that there is little chance of winning the whole thing.  Therefore, I enjoy any goal that we score.  When we beat Mexico in 2002, I was ecstatic.  That Landon Donovan is something special.

^^ i actually think america have a good chance this year, everyone else seems to be getting slightly worse (except from Brazil, and Scotland strangely enough, 5-1 against Bulgaria, i didnt no Scotland could score 5 goals in one game :D) and my impression of the U.S.A is they r getting better all the time, so yea i reckon they have a good chance this year :)

it would be great if england won, but i don't think its gonna happen.
it will probably be Brazil again, unless of course all their players have "accidents"

well it looks like rooney will be fit to play after the group stage so im a little more optimistic about our chances now as for the usa no offence to any americans here but no chance in my opion of even getting past the group stage what with italy and the cezch republic to play ,but i still say brasil im afraid

Right, England have the players to win the World cup! but Sven won't put them in the correct places. In other words England have the players to win, but wont win cause the manager is cack!
I don't Think Brasil/Brazil will win because I don't think a South American has ever won in Europe before (hopefully they wont again).
I don't think it will be germany (even though it is held in Germany) bacause i don't think they have the skill.
It won't be America beause i hear they only have a couple of decent players.

So realy I don't have a clue who will win, probably be an underdog team like Holland.

Van Basten has picked some pretty obscure players so i dont know if they'll do so well, Portugal have got a reasonable chance with Deco (god i hate him so much), Pauleta and Ronaldo and the like, France have got a chance of being up there but Domanech has made some poor choices in that he picked the aging and very poor Zidane over the reasonably young and exciting Ludovic Giuly, i completely agree dean that Sven is a poor manager and that if England had a proper 'manager' then they would have a huge chance, Argentina are slightly weak in places but they could still do well.

But anyway I think we might aswell face it, Brazil are gonna win

they should really have a world cup without brazil and see who wins, it would be a better because watching brazil beat everyone gets so boring like watching schumacheur (dont have a clue on spelling) winning F1 most of the time!
i bet even the brazilians are bored of winning all the time.
