Sometimes money hungry developers mistake "character" as "neglete".  I see it everywhere, a nice old place looks a little run down so instead of putting a little work into restoring it lets just tear it down and start from scratch.  You then get big, boring, faceless architechtural nightmares that only the super wealthy can afford to live and work in.  Boy I hope Coney survives this, I still have to see the place for myself.

The rides may be dated but, it's all part of the charm of the place.

thats stupid how could they do that to coney man! i hope it doesnt change from the way it looked in the warriors. coney island has a lot of legendary things the name cyclone thats a bad ass name especially the wonder wheel that just sounds cool and the name CONEY ISLAND. something they shoud fix is disney land that place just sucks. i hope they dont do any thing to coney!

I cant belive this! I love Coney Island. I just went there today to see it before they did anything to it. Next time I go there Im going to ride the Cyclone, my Mom didnt want me to because she didnt trust me riding by myself yet. I hope when I go next time everything will still be the same.

As a Warriors fan I would feel weird hanging around Astroland and Deno's with this giant resort looming in the background. However, judging from the renderings of what this place will look like it seems to be in the vain of what Coney Island looked like during the Nickel Empire of the early 1900's. So, as a Coney Island fan this might be a good thing. Assuming, of course, that it's done right.
