Dearie me.

I hate seeing people dissing Rembrandt.  He's young and inexperienced, and it's my view that Cleon selected him as one of the nine to give him a little educational outing.  Remember, this was intended to be a peaceful mission; there was a truce.

As for his artistic skills, it was hardly the time to spend hours on elaborate signatures.  We never got the chance to see what he was capable of in that department.

He proved to be more streetwise than Cochise and Vermin over the episode with the Lizzies, and to those who call him a wimp after he gets wounded, remember he has also just learned that everyone believes the Warriors shot Cyrus.  He is in shock.  And that knife wound may be pretty severe, and possibly aggravated by the punch he threw at the Punk.

Each of the Warriors has his own qualities to bring to the party.  There's no worst.

I just loved the fact that Snowball broke 2 bats over guys and kicked someone through a stool during the Punk's fight. What did Cowboy do during that fight I don't even remember now. I think he got some punches but thats it. Cochise was cool with that chain.

Think about this, when you've been here for a while, like it or not, you begin to adapt somewhat.  A concrete question such as this, is a trap for poor new folks.   Because they may answer in all honesty and get ambushed by veterans who see all the guys as valuable.  And it's popular to attack new guys if it's for the right reason.  I should point out that by "veteran"  I'm not talking about big time veterans, but rather, guys with around 250-500 posts.  All I'm saying is, some new posters have a fresh perspective that I almost envy.  "Worst" is such a lame word to use here anyway because different minds will apply it to different elements of a person.  Like if you said whose the best baseball player?  Could you say a batter who doesn't know how to pitch? or vice versa?

Perhaps you?re not aware that the actor playing Fox quit before the end of the filming, and so the character had to be killed off and the storyline changed.  You can blame the actor for that, but not the character. 

And maybe you haven?t seen the deleted opening scene (available on this site) where Fox is described as scout and ?memory man?.  He is the most knowledgeable of the Warriors; he carries a lot of information in his head.  As the scout, he is quick, alert and observant.

The scene with the Orphans shows that he is quick-thinking and shrewd enough to realise that they will respond well to flattery.

Like I said, they all have different strengths.  Emissary put it very well with the baseball analogy.

and i dont hate any warrior(now)
but when i first saw the movie i hate a lil swan cause my fav warrior was ajax and he was always argueing(dont know if i wrote the word good) with him

Having said that, I am now putting on an asbestos suit, because I'll probably get flamed for what I'm going to say next.

If any of the Warriors could be called the worst, I would have to give Ajax that "honor". Granted, he is probably the toughest of them all, and always ready to bop - but he also is undisciplined more concerned with his wants than the need of the group to get back to Coney.

He made this obvious by challenging Swan's leadership in the graveyard, almost to the point of a fight with someone in his own gang; and by leaving Swan, Snow and Cowboy to pursue the undercover cop in the park - unconcerned with the mission of getting home. His aggression, though it might have made him the best bopper among the Warriors, led to his downfall.

Don't get me wrong - I don't hate any of the Warriors, and wouldn't want any of the characters suddenly gone from the movie. I just think that for the plot of the movie, Ajax was somewhat of a detriment to their mission - getting back to Coney.

Incidentally, I know this is a sensitive issue (bad-mouthing anything Warriors related), and if anyone decides to give me negative karma for this, I would appreciate knowing who you are and specifically why you think this post deserves negative karma.

i'm glad to see someone having the guts to say what they actually feel despite what anyone else thinks of them.its all to easy to go with the crowd and and say you like ajax cos you feel like you have to just to fit in.ajax was a strong character and a main part of the film but like you stated his attitude was all about himself and f everybody else.

You shouldn't get any grief for this post from anybody, as what you have said is correct.
Ajax was one of the best characters don't get me wrong, but he was the worst warrior in a sense as he had the leats discipline out of them all. He may of been the most streetwise but i think he lacked the ability to think fast and decide what was the correct thing to do in a situation.. i other words he was always thinking with his fists and his penis.

I?d love to see a psychiatrist?s report on Ajax.  He definitely has some issues, with his constant need to prove himself, both gladiatorially (is that a word?) and sexually.  His courage and fighting skills make him an asset, but because he?s out of control, he?s sadly also a liability.
