I always hated the part were Ajax gets arrested in the movie , but I always wondered why Ajax didn't just brake the wooden part of the bench that he's cuffed to, he could have just lifted his foot or arm and smashed the stupid thing, please tell me what you think .
Come on toys, try and get up,try and take on the King of The Warlords!!!!!!!!
Ya but remember when their running from the meeting Ajax breaks those boards, so how come he couldn't brake this one, i'm sure with enough strenght he would have broken it evenually.

Yeah, this has been brought up many times before, but what the hell. The wood they use on those park benches is incredibly tough. Not only is it thick, but I'm sure it's chemically and pressure treated so it can stand up to years of punishment. If Ajax had his bat he would've had a chance of breaking it, but I don't think he would've even scratched the paint by kicking and punching it.

Steal a car to get home - that's the first thought, just take The Warriors and pile them into a big Cadillac - or why not steal some bikes and gain some ground that way. Of course there is the the matter of their colours on their back.
During the escape from the meeting, Ajax smashed the wooden door with his hands, I think he could break the bench maybe he was very aroused so his blood wasn't in the brain but in his penis.
He wasn't thinking straight. He only had one thing in mind and that blinded him. Yeah he could of thought about keeping the bat, broken the bench, or beat up the cop. But he was thinking with Mr. Littlehead instead of Mr. Bighead.
Well just ike that old saying goes "shoulda, coulda, woulda". SOme people just don't think before they do. After all Ajax was very arrogant. He probably fealt like the strongest, and most invincible man in the world, after taking on the baseball furies. Ss throwing away the bat, and assuming a random woman sitting on a bench in central park, which was during an era where women were most vunrable, did not click to him. There was even a story in the 70's about a woman who was raped there, and when she screamed no one came. So who knows, Walter Hill, probably put that seen in there to give women hope, and ake people pay for their ats in life. And to top it off, that bench was like stone, attached to the ground. A body bulider would have a ard time. We canall say, "why didn't Ajax do this, or why didn't Ajax do that, but like I said "shoulda, coulda, woulda".
