Brazil/Brasil have got to play very well to win it. They have great players but, don't always play to the level they should.

Sport is not that easy and if winning was down to having the best players then most sports would be a write off before the season started.

The Yankees would have won each World Series since 2000, Real Madrid would have won about 5 champions league titles in the last 7 years. Greece couldn't possibly win the European Championships either!

Brazil/Brasil lack a defence and Roque Junior is rubbish, Cafu is about 65 and R Carlos is the most over-rated player of the past 20 years. Sorry Mercy just had to get that out of my system and like you say you're not bothered much about football

Oh yeah England are gonna add another star to there shirts :D

its the same case with england, they have excellent players (possibly one of the best, if not THE best in the world) but never, ever play to their full potential

and also.... has anyone noticed that england are already in the last 16 with all this talk of Rooney definatly being ready for that... it really annoys me how some pundits play that out, they r in a reasonalby difficult group with the likes of Sweden and Paraguay and er... Trinidad and Tobago... just thought id say there are no guarantees in football

we were awful in the 2nd half, owen shouldn't of been taken off! crouch was all alone up front which is why we didn't get any more goals

Yeah, the first half performance was very good, and it impressed me. But as has been mentioned, Owen came off and it all went to pot since there was no real strike force. Looking forward to England's next match on Thursday. 8)

I can't believe Poland lost against Ecuador...
Last time they played Poland won 3 - 0 in a friendly, it's now the important world cup and they lose. What's with that!?  :|

Has anyone else noticed that there is a great deal of "flopping" by some teams?  I first heard that term used in the NBA.  It's when a guy seems to respond to a brush, like he was just hit by SHM and his Tackhammer, for the purpose of getting a call.  Down he goes, wincing in pain, you think, bring on the stretcher, but he's ok.  I don't want to mention one team or another because I respect that every country has devoted fans.

OHH, MAN, E!!!

thats what i forgot to say, and i meant to make a seperate post about it!! LOLOL

what incredible actors!!!!!!!!
talk about takin a dive, for a call!!!!
it's worse than hockey!!!

and it's really bad, when they show the replays, and the dude barely got brushed past.
and i mean, i got really good eyes!
like a hawk!!
and i see everything, on the field, and the replays.
i can tell ya what really happened in the play, exactly, beofre they show the replay.
it ticks my friends off, whenever we watch ANY sports, because the announcer is always repeating what i just said, 2 seconds before! LOL
so i always "see" the real impact.
toe, foot, leg, whatever.
yeah, i know some of the stuff hurts, even the things that dont look like they do.
but the majority of it is just really bad acting!!

Haha, true true.

This video shows that it is not just the players who are bad at acting and I came across this video also - who does he think he is?!
