**SOMETHING YOU ALL SHOULD READ**

as of late alot of us have noticed this forum in the dumps, recently i celebrated my 1 year here on the forum, and in looking back i noticed alot of change, in people and in the way people post. there is a fair ammount of you here that THINK things should be diffrent here, the rules are not right, that we need crappy post like the TONS and TONS that are made. there are so many of you that dont even bother to read the rules and then want to flip out when you get banned. so many of you dont even put a topic in the right place, and some of you say so in the post and still dont. you need to ask yourself, why are you part of this forum? i saw somone join today and make 5 post and they were not even warrior related. what if we get rid of EVERY SINGLE AREA to post in except for the warriors section? would you still be here? could you still post new stuff? do you know how to use the search button? so many of you are quick to jump and count your self as a vet of the forum, the reality is...im not even a vet here...they are far and few and you should really look at who they might be. on your next post i sugest you really think, is this worthy of posting? maybe you should re look the history of the forum from a year ago when i joined and go even further back like i did and look at the QUALITY that was this forum at that point. it is beacuse of the crappy junk that 85% of the forum post that we raised the warrior rank from 100 to 250 post...and maybe it should be higher? maybe it should be 500? beacuse you guys still dont get it, no matter how many post you have....no matter how much crap you post....that rank doesnt mean anything in the eyes of so many of us. and i could name you names, but i think you know who i speak about. i think its time to consider what you do on the forum, why you are here and what you do to aid it. we DO NOT WANT TO BE LIKE OTHER FORUMS! dont come here and post somthing that you see on other forums and think we need it. we are orginal, we are friendly and we are for everyone, recently we almost had to give a age limit to the forum, somthing we never have even had to consider in the past. this place is VERY close to a lock down. and i PROMISE you if we have to lock down again and clean this place out, we are going to clean out members and turn off the feature to join. so if you think your one of this shaky members, and you know if you are.....change yours ways....if this lock down goes in effect it may be the last time i see you. we want this place to be good for everyone from the member with 1 post to the members with 1000+ and we all place a part in this.

=D> I couldn't agree more Kartoon. You have alot of powerful points there. Maybe the Warriors rank should be rasied. This forum does need to be cleaned up from spammers and people that join and don't even post.

I'm all for cleaning up the forum, it's really dumb when people register just so they can up the number of forum memebrships they have and don't post. But, about the off topic stuff, would it be really good to get rid of the Interests boards? I mean sure, some of the stuff does get a little too off topic, but these boards help too build the community on the forum by giving us other stuff to relate with besides just "The Warriors". I think it would be better to just give new members about a week to post something Warrior related, and not just some crappy agreement post on a topic, but something really significant or at least good enough to show that they know something about The Warrors. But there have been some really great topics started by new memebers, like the "During the Fury Chase" by Stonerose, just to name one. I think most of the stuff that gets responded to lately though is whatever happens to be on the first page of whatever board is being viewed, so maybe we should start bring the "OG" threads back to the top.

And uping the post limit for The Warrior rank would be cool, becuase it would give members more time to improve their posting habits and truly live up to the rank. I only have like 180 posts right now but I feel even after 250 I wouldn't feel ready to rock the vest. Sure, I think it would be cool to have "Warrior" under my name, but personally, I'm just glad that after being a fan for 11 years I've found a place where other serious fans (Most of which have been so since before the internet was even invented and are the true OGs) can come and discuss the film and just hang out in general....virtually hangout anway.?

I agree with everything you say i am almost a warrior but if you raise it thats fine with me i just want to stay on the forum it's fun here with friends.



I also agree about the new bloods coming here and not posting i may not be a warrior yet but i am almost and like i said this forum is the best site i have ever been on.



I also know i used to make crappy posts but thats in the past and i make alot better posts at least i think so.

Toon, totally correct, the forum does need a clean out. I sure hope I get to stay if there is lol. If this does go through, I take it the forum will be closed for a while? If so.....DAMN! lol But if it has to be shut to clean up, so be it!

I know i use my 5 post everyday i log in. But bealive me, i dont do it because im rushing to be a warrior, i do it because i always find something intresting to post to. And i know i was an awfull poster about a month ago(maybe some think i still am) but some really smart people have trained me, and i thank them. Im triying to learn of my battle scars, and triying to heal them becoming a better poster. But i do bealive new people that register and only use like 5 post and never come back... that its wrong.

I AGREE TOON! I spend alot of my time on this forum and worked hard to get where i am! now as most of yall know i was a very crappy new blood ended up with like negative 18 karma! But i have started to clean up my act and grateful for all the help! Too many new bloods are comin in here posting like 3 times than never returning! my question is why join the warriors forum if u don't know about the warriors! I mean sheesh! I second what kartoon is saying and even though i am looking foward to becoming a warrior in all fairness if it got moved up i wouldn't complain. In my opinion i think if people don't post at least 5 times in there first week there account should be deleted! Way to go new bloods :doubt:

and the only reason i come here anymore, is because of my girlfriend, and my friends here.
and it really pains me, to say that!
but it is, what it is!
theres nothing here worth reading, anymore.

the game was cool, but it sure wasnt cool enough, to do what it did to this forum!

Go SHM man i dont care about being a warrior it just means you've made alot of posts i just like chatting with friends on here and posting and the game part kinda did bad for this forum as you said SHM it should not be about the game it should be about the movie the thing that brought this forum together not some game. I just want to stay on this forum it's the greatest site.

I've been here a while. Some think I'm not an asset, but all I do each day is come on here and see what new posts have been made. Most of my posts do not take place in the Warriors related boards, well, lately that is. It is usually in Off Topic, Fan Fiction, or Fan Art. I recently got in an arguement with a good friend which also hasn't done good for the boards, it is setting a bad example for Newbloods, who may have had a chance to be a good poster, but then decided to start fighting with people. I think, that I love this place. I feel wanted. People that I talk to understand what it's like to love the Warriors. My friends have seen the movie and think it was decent, if I ever mention it they just tell me to shut up, and say that the Warriors suck. I really wouldn't want to be taken off the forums, and if you decide to do the lockdown, with people from posts 1 to 1000 taken off, atleast wait for my to get my 1000th post.

I know I haven't been the best poster here and I could relate to some of the things Toon said and I agree with him all the way. One thing what could happen could be only mods or people who have been with this forum for along time like Toon should only be able to make new topics although I know this could cause some problems.

Listen up folks, I think we are going to have to make some big changes around these parts. However, I am going to make some suggestions and then please feel free to chip in with your comments and ideas on how to make this place better.

First off, what do you guys want from this forum? Do you want it to revert back to a place where you can only talk about The Warriors - I.e. all off topic and interest boards would be scrapped or do you like having these community areas? Do you want this place to be an online "clique" where we are all members of "The Warriors fan community" and get initated in to the forum and stand as one. None of these sub-cliques that have appeared. No hostility between members.

Secondly, I think there will have to be major revisions to how you can join this forum. It was suggested that people could pay a one-off fee to join which would instantly get rid of any spammers, and would encourage those to join to post. They would also be die hard fans. I have never seen a forum to charge but it could just give us that element of exclusivity! This fee would not be high, just enough to discourage people from joining who are not fans. Alternatively, charges could be monthly. I could set up a separate guestbook for people to leave one-off comments for free.

If the fee was high enough for joining, I would consider dropping the posting limits. After all, you would pay to be here and I would expect members to make worthwhile posts. Ranks would need to change so Warrior rank may move to 1,000 posts. I think karma may be dropped as it's been causing all sorts of headaches.

I would also consider putting a minimum age limit of 15 on new members, and the joining fee would help sort this out. Whatever happens, there will be restrictions on who can join, and temporary closures whilst the place is cleaned up.

Well guys, give me some opinions - tell me what you want from this place and how it can be improved. Your input is needed to shape this place so we change it to meet the needs of those who use it!

I would rather not pay to stay, I'm not big on the money scene, and I always came here as a free place to chat with Warriors fans. But most certainly take off the Music Chat, Movie Chat, Off Topic, etc. Leave Warriors 1979, Warriors 2006 (or whenever it comes out), General Warriors Chat, Warriors Fan Fiction, and Warriors Fan Art.

In conclusion, I love these forums, and I would love to stay. But if I have to pay to stay, I will have to work things out with my dad, and I'd rather not, because he is an asshole.
