Yeah, I agree about the quiz. I mean, why would you be here if you didn't know about the Warriors? You would have to make sure they can only take it once though.
Even though I like it, it might be a good idiea to get rid of karma. It's a nice feture but it's causing problems.
I think you should keep the ranking system. Maybye even raise the Warrior rank up if you have to. Any way thats my 2 cents.

We are still recovering from the effects of the game, and I am sure when the new movie comes out next year (or when ever) we will have a load of newbies again!

Maybe the "remake" and the Warriors game forums are the problem then? I've posted in both, and I think they're cool, but since they share no relationship besides just being parts of the Warriors universe and aren't canon to the original film, which is seen as the only truth about anything that happens in the world of the Warrios, is it really possible for them to co-exist together on the site?

It seems like after the game was released and started gaining attention it really didn't do much besides give the veteran members a headache trying to keep the game heads from mixing the game and the movie. A lot of the members who joined because of the game were actually made into fans of the original movie and have become great members, but how many didn't and just ended up leaving with 0-10 posts to their name that weren't even constructive?(anybody remember BILLY BRONX?)

And if the game and new movie aren't canon, then what can topics about your favorite rumble arenas, or how much you hate Tony Scott, or whether or not ?Cleon's headress is removable in the game really offer to a constructive discussion about The Warriors.

And I agree with SHM about how the spamming ang game-movie mixing drove away a lot of the true veteran members. I'm not saying I'm a vet or anything, but one of the things that made me want to register, besides finally finding more fans of the movie, was seeing posts and threads by members like The Fox, emmisary, SHM, Tantive7, and vermin76 (just to name a few). they were actually incredibly insightful, unlike some of the fanboy crap that you constantly see spewed on fan forums of other things. I also saw that some of the spamming and game references had already started giving new blood members a bad name.

So when I finally got the honor of being able to join, I made threads like "God of War" and "hidden metaphors" to try and show that being a new blood didn't automataticaly mean you were gonna suck from the get go, but I don't think it was enough then. But now we're getting members whose first posts are about the movie and not in the game forum and they're genuinely good posts and threads.

I like the game but if it (and potentially the new film) is the main source of where bad members and spammers are coming from, then is it worth keeping around, especially if it's driving the OG members away? I'm not saying that there aren't new members who make the site great too, but if most of the originals are driven off, wouldn't we be to the forum what the "2006 remake" is to the original film?

I think some of these ideas are good but some are aren't. Frankly this site is like a second home to me. Everything about it is fun. But if i had to pay. I just can't do it. My parents would never have it which sucks but it is the truth. I am looking foward to becoming a warrior and gaining the ability to use karma so i don't want that to be takin away but then again i hate the spamming new bloods so. If the changes happen i might be a little up set but i want this site to continue!. I also agree that the game has caused alot of this trouble. The game was fun but it caused a bunch of game heads to appear which is very annoying! But unfortunatley if a fee arises i might have to quit

these are all ideas, we, (and when i say "we" i mean me, and gonz, and a VERY few others!!)
have had, presented, and had hoped, would be put into effect!!!
(i guess it's all in who does the suggesting, huh?)

i got a way that you could keep karma, if you give positive karma thats fine but could there be a way so that if you give negatove karma you have to give a comment on why otherwise you can't give negative and if the reason to minus karma isn't good enough then the mods can give the karma back

i dont know what most of you think of me, but if most of these changes were to be put into effect, i'd be kicked off the forum. i wouldnt be able to pay a fee, and im 13. but i think im at least an average poster so i'm saying the test idea would be good. just add a small 5 uestion test, and make sure the questions have nothing to do with the game. or say....questions such as "what is the emblem on the back of the vest?" if the answer given is "snake with flames" then they cant join. and maybe a 4/5 to get in. i just dont like the age limit and fees. that stuff should be for porn sites. (and i thank my brothers complaining for that knowledge )
