what are you guys talkin' bout?...the warriors will not have their vests...the furies won't even be in it...it's an up to date film, with real gangs mainly...they'll all have hoodies bandana's etc...as the real gangs these days have, with their 'colours'.... :doubt:

It probably meets todays standards.  Like I said in a previous post, the world is changing.  There was an ancient philosopher named Heraclitus, who said that the world is always in a constant state of change.  It is inevitable for people of all different races to alter their way of appearance.  Although there are some aspects of keeping tradition, like Rastafarians keeping dreadlocks, but the clothing is renewed to tell a story of old traditional stories mixed with the stories of today.

Like most people, I think that trying to remake The Warriors based on real life LA gangs is stupid, and completely wrong. The Warriors isn't necessarily supposed to be the real world, and Walter Hill deliberately went for a comic book/fantasy feel, which I think works perfectly for the movie, and gives it an identity all of it's own.

The right director, somebody who actually respects The Warriors and what it's all about, could probably make an interesting updated remake, even if it's not as good as the original. They update things like Batman, so it could work here. But everything I've heard about Tony Scott's project tells me that this will be terrible, like he's just using the name to draw attention to what would otherwise be another stupid "gangsta" movie.

well i have my ups and downs about this movie i think the warriors might have a vest like the original but not as short and not leather they will probably be in jeans and a few (or all) will have bandanas and some bling and i dont recall the furies were gonna be in the new film
