A higher leader of The Warriors than Cleon!?!?!?

I can't see anyone being higher then Cleon in the Warriors. I guess they just had a different system. War lord=president and war chief= vice president. Who was third in command? Fox?

A member of a certain Bronx gang wanted to leave and he was found SHOT to death outside there clubhouse. These gangs back then didnt play. Though they did fight hand to hand or with bats more often, they did use any weapons and I mean ANY weapons they could get there hands on. From shot guns, to pistols, rifles, fire bombs etc. these gangs werent no movie fantasy...

Yeah any gang life is scary. But I would rather be in a gang in the oldern days because there was probably less guns and you would have to settle a confrontation with your fists, bats, and knives. Making it slightly safer.

Well from what i see it is that warlord IS IN FACT the higgest rank in a gang. The other ones you mention are for biggest gangs like the riffs, not to get off topic but in the book the gang that only had those positons was indded the ismaels gang. I think these names are given to bigger gangs because they are a lot, and need more order.

I agree with you. It is true that rumbles were more often the solution to things than drive bys but there was still constant danger. But what made thing worst is that if you were caught with a gun you would just get smacked around by the cop and let go. Meaning the person was still on the loose. And you wore Colors or vests with your gang name on them making you an easier target to identify. But in those days if you werent with a gang you were dead already. But I do know what you mean because these days its all guns.

Yea I think Presdient, Vice President was for larger gangs since the Warriors only contained 120 members.

the warriors probally only hav the warlord and warchief bcoz they arnt an organised gang, but the riffs are so that might b the reason to that.

yes the Riffs were a much larger gang and due to there discipline and great leaders they mustve had those ranks.

I wish all gangs in the warriors had leaders like masai so some gangs would not be so twisted and shoot all the time order is what they need but in real life everyone is to high on crack to realize it in some way the warriors life and story is better than ours

i am so with you on that. gangstas suck man because its all like yo whats the dilly-o i got a gat and mac bisnich.  i wish it were the days wene fist fights came back because after watching the warriors 100x i want to be in a bopping gang.

LOL there were no such gangs back then. if a gang only fought with fists or bats etc. it was because they couldnt get ahold of guns. You guys are getting gangs all wrong. You in a sense glorify being in a gang. The kids who made the gangs that were like the warriors back then didnt play around. In order to get into a gang you had to rape somebody sometimes. Could you live with that? There was one occurence where 2 gangs had a schedueld rumble. One of the largest gangs in NY against another gang. The larger gang only sent one division wich was about 30 members. They only saw 6 members of the other gang waiting for them. They thought they would crush them. But the rest of the gang numbering in the hundreds was hiding near by. And the only way out for the 30 gang members was to fight. Imagine if you were with the 30 gang members. You wouldnt have walked away most likely. That gang that had hundreds of members with them at that time even dragged a dead body of a deceased gang member of an enemy gang and beat it up. because the persons gang had the funeral for him in there turf. You think those gangs played fair? If they could they  wouldkill you with a gun if they could back then. And they did. The Warriors is a movie. Dont get mixed up with real life. Even if there was a bopping gang who only used hand to hand or melee weapons. They would be forced to use deadlier weapons due to other gangs using better weapons on them. The gangs back then were gangs because they lived in poverty, bad school system, and because of fear of other gangs. Those kids in those gangs had to learn it the hard way. Many are in jail or dead. Dont talk about gangs because there is very very little glory, if any and nothing is really fair.
