Did you say map? That would absolutely rule

Post by Bopper »

Fox,

I am going back to NYC in July. I went to Coney last December and of course it was all closed down. This time its on, Wonder Wheel here I come! I am going with a non believer in the Warriors, but I am dragging him to all of the sites.

I have 72nd and Riverside marked down, thanks to the other posts.

Keep up work on that map, that would be so cool to have. Thanks

Does anyone know where exactly is that location when the song, No Where To Run is playing, it is raining and they all go through and underpass, and head up to a smll hill?

Thanks.

I've not tracked that one down.

The only ones i've not tracked down are...

Orphans
Grave Yard
Nowhere to run scenes but, they are all over the place.
Riffs "home"

All the above are in brroklyn but, just not sure in which parts.

I have all the rest of the filming areas.

It would be fantastic if we ever find out where those scenes took place.

Yeah, you were right of the location. One of the times I was there I actually took the book with me because I wanted to identify other sites such as the author's previous residency at Coney Island Houses.

It is amazing how the city actually level down the beach to the boardwalk. I am planning to visit more often now that they rehabilitated the whole area. I think I'll take my family for bike rides on the boardwalk.

Now that is a great idea. Then we can visit all the sites as we trace the route to the Bronx!

That's my one big Warriors dream--to go to Coney and ride the Wonder Wheel. I don't really care about anything else, and I don't know why...I guess it's just ofr me, to prove to myself that I was there, on such an iconic piece of this film. It's the first thing the audience sees, and it's one of the first things the Warriors see when they get home....

I laways have been one to want to own/experience somewhat quirky pieces of film memorabilia....don't even get me started on Buffy stuff I want!

I found some info the other day on the internet.....
Apparently, Lynne Thigpen's DJ scenes in 'The Warriors' were filmed at WHBI 105.9 FM,
the NY station legendary for hosting the first Hip-Hop radio shows ever.

Yo Latem,

I've found it! Also found the Orphans site and graveyard.

My map will be up soon including All filming areas minus the Riffs wharehouse!

You will soon be able to visit all filming sites. Allow me a little time as i'm busy with a couple of things!

Is the graveyard Woodland Cemetary? I figure as it is right next to Van Courtland Park it must be.
