A few more little things, which I haven't seen on Cowboy Is Cool's list.

1- When you pick the Destroyers in rumble mode, LC appears twice, and if the whole gang is chosen, there are two LC's, one replacing the goon with the afro. But in create/edit gang, the lineup is correct, with only one LC, and afro guy present.

2- The Van Cortland Rangers are unlocked after Blackout, but they don't actually appear on this level at any time.

3- In certain gangs, lieutenants seem to be stronger than leaders. Most obvious is the Satan's Mothers, where Spider is the boss, but Tiny is much stronger. It's also true with the Punks, Ed the red shirt LT has more life than the leader Vance. And also in the Turnbull AC's, Thrash the fat LT is stronger than leader Sid.

4- There are certain gang members in rumble mode who appear nowhere in the main game, including bonus missions, Armies of the Night or cutscenes (unless they're well hidden in Cyrus's meeting). The leaders of the VC Rangers and Panzers, a bald Savage Hun LT, and two of the three seperate "Destroyer Officers" (the third appears in AOTN only). There's also loads of civillains/extras (too many to list) who don't appear in the main game.

5- In Cyrus's meeting, the Hurricanes are not wearing their hats, only the tattoos and Latino appearance give away who they are. Early preview screenshots also had the Hurricanes appearing hatless.

6- Orphans and Lizzies appear in Cyrus's meeting. The Orphans shouldn't be there at all, and aren't even meant to know it's happening. I guess the Lizzies could have had members there, but we saw none in the movie, and let's face it, any girls would stand out there.

7- Look in the manual, and Cochise is dressed differently for his flashback mission to how he appears on this mission in the game. He is wearing blue jeans and a white vest, while in the game he's shirtless with yellow trousers.

8- Cochise is also the only Warrior with a different hairsyle in his flashback, where he has short hair rather than his usual afro.

9- Bopper and Destroyer lieutentants can flash themselves back to full health. If the computer plays them, they can even do it in rumble mode, but far as I know you can't make them do it if you're playing them.

10- In certain gangs, the normal soldier have cool moves that their leaders and LT's do not. Punk soldiers have a bearhug move, but neither Vance or the LT can do this, instead they get the normal kick many other have. Normal Satan's Mothers have a headlock+punch move which neither Spider nor Tiny can do. Riff soldiers have a flying kick which Cyrus and Masai don't have. Usually you'd think the higher ups would have the fanciest moves.

11- From talking to Cowboy after Destroyed, it sounds like the Destroyers and Jones Street Boys had an alliance. he says the JSBs were angry, since LC was their main dealer. Funny how this is never brought up in the actual mission against the JSBs though.

12- In Rumble Mode, the Savage Hun LTs can do some of Cleon's rage moves as normal moves, but the moves are weaker in their case.

13- This is easy to spot, but the Nowhere to Run montage features some totally different gangs from movie to game. The most obvious example is the Hurricanes walking down the street, one carrying a radio, replacing the nameless Hawaiian shirt guys from the movie. Savage Huns and Boppers also replace nameless gangs from the movie for this scene.

41. If you listen to the radio long enough, the DJ will dedicate songs to specific gangs, and even mention a couple of rumbles between the gangs. I've not gotten a chance to listen to all of them, as the dedications are randomly generated as opposed too appearing in any order.

42. In rumble mode, Virgil has his own way of ducking during a block, and his own way of counterattacking afterwards. He's the only character I've seen who has his own unique method of this in Rumble mode. (Though, I checked Luther out afterwards, and I believe he too, had his own way of ducking).

43. I tried counting, and I believe that there are about 25-30 "New bloods" at the beginning of the third flashback mission.

44. In the last part of the fifth mission, there is a limit to how many Orphans will jump out of the building to attack your party. I thought it'd be unlimited since your purpose is to trash the car, and that is achieved quickly, but I waited around one day and saw this.

The Diego/Vargas and Big Moe question of leadership continues to confuse me. The guys are mentioned numerous times throughout the game, yet unlike most of the other gangs, are never referred to as leaders. One of West's lines of dialog in the hangout mentions the rivalry between the two gangs, and wonders if Big Moe could take the brothers. Prior to Adios Amigo, the DJ mentions Diego and Vargas ejecting the Panzers from the strips and solids. One of the dedications I mentioned mentions Big Moe winning a contest to the song the DJ plays afterward. Big Moe is also mentioned in of the conversations between the Boppers, saying he threw another guy through a window on his (Moe's) birthday. But the two incidents that most confuse me are as follows. One of the things Cochise says in the Hurricane level if you wait long enough is that they have these two huge members, and that they should get out of Spanish Harlem as soon as they can. He doesn't say "Hey, I heard their warlords were these two huge guys..." like he might've if it was a guy who was confirmed to be leader. And the final mission overview for the Harlem level simply calls Big Moe "A mean Bopper," as if he's not someone high up in the ranks of leadership. They have all these oppurtunities to confirm their status, but they never do. Which futher leads me to think that they may not be the leaders of their gang, just the heaviest members.

However, one of Big Moe's lines is "I'm Big Moe, you hear me? I'M THE BOSS!" but he may have just been speaking figuratively, and the Boppers are a flamboyant bunch.

45. In the third mission and Roots, the railing on the Destroyer's hangout catwalk are bare. In Destroyed, they have barbed wire over them. Virgil covered his bases with that one.

Judas Bunch update: A report by the DJ says that the Satan's Mothers wrecked the Judas Bunch in retaliation for rigging a contest (didn't catch what it was) that gave the JBs the SM's position. The Judas Bunch seem to have a nasty habit of pissing off the heaviest sets in the city.

I also misremembered. Ajax said the West Side Lords got wrecked by the Lizzies, not the JBs.

In response to number 15.

"The Turnbull ACs are virtually the only gang in the game where we are given no clue as to who their leader is or what's he like"

I don't think the Turnbull AC's even have a leader,I mean there an anarchy gang after all,so that means there opposed to all form of control. But the problem is that they have LT's,so they must have a leader. It dosen't make sense.Strange
We're gonna make it back. We came this far and we're gonna make it the rest of the way!

I'm also thinking that Diego and Vargas are not the leaders of the Hurricanes, more like high ranking enforcers. The manual tells us that they are a family based gang, and a lot of them do seem to be brothers, cousins etc, so my theory is that there is some older relative pulling the strings behind the scenes.

I've heard dedications to the following gangs. There is probably a dedication to each of them, but I've either not heard it yet, or forgotten it.

Jones Street Boys
Satan's Mothers
Electric Eliminators
Lizzies
Punks
Boppers
Hurricanes
Savage Huns
Panzers and Judas Bunch. Theirs came together, with the DJ dedicating the song to two crews who've been quiet lately.
Orphans. Suprising one this, since they're such a small time nothing crew.
Van Cortland Rangers. Theirs comes from the Moonrunners with a warning to stay away from their trainyard.

From listening to the DJ's reports, the Panzers seem to be the unluckiest crew in the city. They get wrecked by the Hurricanes, Hi Hats, and the Boppers made a deal that meant the Panzers had to leave Harlem. Baseball Furies unsurprisingly come across as one of the toughest, with wins over the Jones Street Boys, Punks and Turnbull AC's, as well as wrecking two Rogues after the blackout riot.

In the flashback mission Roots, the Destroyers talk about wrecking a crew from Chinatown. No word on whether it's the Savage Huns (unlikely imo) or a smaller no name group who didn't last.

Perhaps the "Shanghai Sultans" mentioned in the original script?
