Orphans Movie

Well it seems that a film about the Orphans, which will be titled just "Orphans", is being discussed and possibly will begin shooting in the Summer of next year in the Bronx.  According to ToyFare magazine as well as Alarma! Magazine, Brad Pitt himself will produce the film for his Plan B productions.  Also he has mentioned that Angelina Jollie would be perfect to play Mercy.  When asked why he wanted to produce such film, he stated that: "he knew that the Orphans must of been more than just a low gang; if they wrote about their raids on the paper, then they must of been somewhat of a menace".  He has given a hint that it would be like "Fight Club", lotta fights and blood!

I didn't know Mr. Pitt was a fan of the film, but oh well, money talks and bullcrap walks.  I think he is taking the whole "adopting orphans thing" a bit too serious.

WOW!!   I hope they in fact do this movie, for me i cant get enough of warrior films,lol BRING them!!. Even if one is labeled The strawberry furies, ill still go see it,lol.

if it wasn't cheap it wouldn't have the same magic as The Warriors did, because the movie itself was a B movie but it is beloved by many. big budget would cheapen it. if it really happens that is

Oooh I actually like the sound of this! I had no idea Brad Pitt was a fan of the movie but I think of done correctly this could be pretty awesome ^__^ Unlike the "remake" at least this actually involves the origional movie Any word on if this is going to take place in the 70's or in modern time?

According to Pitt, he will find people that look just like original characters. The movie will take place in the 70's, according to him it will show how the leader got his eye like that and including the famous "raid" newspaper article.

If they did put that scene in, I dont think it would be the same. Not to us anyway. I'd be looking thinking 'Its cool....but its just not like the original' I mean we'd be able to spot if it really was Swan or Ajax, etc. Sounds like a cool movie though, could turn out to be great!

Ah then that would be COOL! I would pay to see that without a doubt! Maybe we could see what Mercy was like before the Warriors meet them too.

We all know it'll be better then the remake. I hope to hear some information about it in the future. I'll wait awhile before I start making any judgements.

No that's not a good idea, I mean, the focus here is on The Orphans. That scene basically makes the orphans out to be really lame, and the movie is trying to glorify them.
