???????????'s

Post by cyruszx7 »

A few questions for the gang:does anyone have a ballpark figure on the average age of members,im 38 and i think ive seen as young as 12. Which brings me to the next ?,for the younger guys who see the movie now for the first time, whats it like for you-does it seem dated or can you relate to it?Next for guys closer to my age who caught it when it first came out-what is it that has kept you/us interested for all these years?I look forward to your replies

Hi cyruszx7.  Welcome to the forum.  I'm 37 and saw the movie for the first time in 1980 on cable television.  When I was a kid, it was the action that kept me interested.  Later on, it was the story itself...nine guys wrongly blamed and eight of them have to fight their way home.  Today, it's the comradeship, as well as the other two things I've mentioned.  I have friends who have been there for me for years, through thick and thin, and I've been there for them as well.  It's the loyalty of friendship, or comradeship, that grabs me more today than years ago.

Thanks Furieswarlord-I agree with you the one word that kept popping into my head as i was thinking about the question was loyalty being able to trust and count on somebody is rare and special.I also think the challenge aspect of the film struck a powerful chord inside me and kept me coming back more .
