So if they they can't defend their turf, or were a wandering gang, how would they get enough of a reputaion to be invited to Cyrus' meeting without actual "turf"? Even the Orphans had turf and they weren't invited.

yes but that brings me back to my original point, there affiliated with gang. besides you can work up a hard rep in a wandering gang. and we all see the lizzie on the trailer right, but we dont see them at the actual meeting wich makes me think were they really there and only put on the trailer because they were in the movie and all the people on the trailer had apperances in the movie

From my perspective, it was obvious that the Lizzies was an all female. Lesbian gang. There were hints at this during the dancing scene. Also remember when the two lizzies were talking and one said to the other ?That?s right! Got To!? ? What that was was one of the Lizzie members asking if they have to actually make out with these guys. They had to to set the trap so to speak! That?s just my take on it!

I always thought that line "That's right! Got to!" refered to them having to waste the Warriors, like there was no way around it they had to take them down. But I like your take on it Roadman.

I always believed that the Lizzies were an all female (lesbian or not) gang that had their own turf. I always felt their story about their boys being at the meeting was just a fabrication.

I imagine that the Lizzies probably had a bit of turf. How they defend it, I cannot say for certain. I'm sure they can not quite rumble like the male gangs, but perhaps they don't have to. They may have male affliates who do some of that work for them and they use their unique abilites to secure alliances with other gangs. I suppose it may just be my imagination as I have no proof to prove it, but I always kind of thought that the Lizzies had an alliance with the Riffs. I always felt that they knew about the shooting not so much from the radio (though certainly they would have been listening) but from a direct envoy (or phone call) from the Riffs. Just my imagination I'm sure.

Oh, and for all of the people who cite their inability to take out three guys as a sign of their weakness, I point out that the three guys were WARRIORS! The Baseball Furies got their asses kicked by four Warriors who were unarmed at the begining of the fight.

I think they had their own turf--how else do you get and keep a hangout like that with a jukebox like that one????
Plus the fact is these chicks really were packed---and considering I am sure I saw at least 2 guns---what makes anyone think they can't defend their turf??
they were willing to follow "the Word" and take a crack at bringing down a group of males they had never seen before, and really knew nothing about. They certainly were not scared to mix it up.
Besides, I am sure they did have some affiliation with a connecting gang probably male anyway and they backed each other up. Probably were quite friendly inbetween too!!

and while maybe a few of them were possibly gay, some of them may have BI-but most of them probably just wanted to belong somewhere to something that cared about them, and they could be part of--but I think lesbian is a totally irrelevent factor for this context of them being a gang. The one making out with Vermin certainly was no stranger to boys.

and the "go to" line can be taken many ways--as in: go get them, and make sure they (Warriors)come with you so we can jap them, as much as anything else.

I think the Lizzies were an independent gang who would do what they had to. I think they were supposed to kill Vermin but his coolness ultimately saved his life on the script. But if they had killed him it would show them to be too dangerous to take lightly. Oh wait a minute, I have to go to the object thread because I just thought of something!!!!

i dont think the lizzies were strong enough to have their own turf the other gangs were way bigger then them so theyd get smashed if they tried to defend their turf.

Well, if the Lizzies turf consisted mainly of those 10 square feet of ground and they all had guns, they could defend their turf pretty well.

I think the Lizzies were big-time, as they were on the Riff's network. But there strength sin't in rumbling, or in fighting for turf, they have a little and that's all they need. The Lizzie's real power is that any woman you see could be a Lizzie. Inviting some girls to a party? Some of them might be Lizzies by chance, and you might just wind up with a bullet in your chest if you get too drunk.

Pass a girl on the street? She might be a Lizzie, might be packin.'

They aren't like other gangs in that they are all about facing off and stomping around with all flags flying, like as they tried to do with Vermin, Rembrandt, and Cochise, they gain power through trickery and.....FEMININE WILES!
