What would you like to see as a remake??
Ive quickly gone thru the 22 pages on here and havnt seen a simular topic, so what im asking is with all the remakes thats come out over the past 3 years, which of your favourite 80's film (doesnt have to be horror) would you like to see get the new millenium treatment?
I was watching tigerland the other week, and i thought how i would like to see a modern version of southern comfort. Its my second favourite walter hill film, and the ry cooder score goes perfect with it. the only thing i wasnt so keen on was the ending.
Lets hear your thoughts.

I'd like to see a remake of Sleepaway camp the end could be much better now and they could flip the last two scenes around so it doesn't ruin the surprise

Totally forgot about this movie. It was an awsome ending, tripped me out as a kid. Your right, this could be a great remake especially for those who have never seen or heard about the original.Storm86 wrote: I'd like to see a remake of Sleepaway camp the end could be much better now and they could flip the last two scenes around so it doesn't ruin the surprise

Interesting question. I suppose ii depends how good the movie was in the first place. Or if there was a lot of flaws that you want to correct. For instance the original Scarface and the one with Al Pacino are both classics. Maybe another Jaws film. Now before people jump down my throught, a remake is way better than a sequal to Jaws. Jaws is an instant classic, but was messed up with dumb sequals. You see Jaws was not so much about action, but about man versus beast. So maybe we can recapture that element again. Any way thats my opinion.

I would like to see a remake of Back To The Future. The main character will go back in time into 1978 and all that. I'm just joking around, but it can work

Game of Death, I just don't think it would work, Bruce Lee was a legend.

There was rumours about using a cgi bruce lee to remake this film, but its all gone a bit quiet. I was glad when they finally released the full 40 minute pagoda sequence where bruce uses the rod and the nunchakus. Kareem abdul jabar's charector was more interesting being light sensitive. Id like to see what tony jaa can do when he finally appears in a film with a good script.LIONS ON THE RED CARPET wrote: Game of Death, I just don't think it would work, Bruce Lee was a legend.

I'm not too fond of remakes, but there are quite a few that could be improved special effects-wise and the likes.
Straw Dogs.
Story of Ricky.
Ichi the Killer.
Nightmare City.
Motel Hell, as long as they keep the chainsaw fight, I mean, how often do you see a chainsaw fight?
Naked Prey.
Sharkskin man and Peach hip Girl.
A lot more probably, just can't think of any.

Well so far a few of the top 70's+80's tv shows have been turned into movies. Like Starsky and Hutch, The Dukes Of Hazzard, Miami Vice. I would kinda like to see an A-Team movie.
Remaking, any film these days normally makes the original look amazing.

I heard the same thing to Ninth delegate, about the CGI Bruce Lee. It did die down quick.

How about this for a possible cast....the wigan warrior wrote: . I would kinda like to see an A-Team movie.
Hannibal:- George Clooney
Face:- Brad Pitt
Murdock:- Jim carrey
B A:- Ving Rhimes
That would be most of the budget gone before they ever started filming

Good cast that. But I don't know who the 4th guy is. Jim Carrey would be class as Murdock.Ninth Delegate wrote:How about this for a possible cast....the wigan warrior wrote: . I would kinda like to see an A-Team movie.
