After watching the Warriors tonight I wanted to see what info was out there on the movie. Am very impressed with this site. So much info.
After reading the Where Are they Now section I noticed that it stated Ginny Ortiz "she has not been seen since". So I did a search of the web and could only find one reference to a Ginny Ortiz that didn't end in a Warriors, 3-2-1 Contact, or Willie And Phil web page.
http://www.calhum.org/programs/events/a ... ibrary.htm very last line of page mentions "Throughout the month of October. Library Clerical Supervisor Ginny Ortiz and staff." I'm pretty sure it isn't her.
I'm just finding it weird that there is no info on her. To me it's like a good mystery that needs to be solved.
Anyone have any info?
Love the movie. First seen it in 1980 in a second run theatre when I was 14 in East Vancouver. Have seen it many times since and only own the original DVD release. Am planning on buying the Directors Cut just for the documentaries. Funny thing though the deleted scenes posted on the site started ringing bells and don't recall having seen The Warriors on TV. And BOO HISS to a remake. Leave the classics alone or will it be a vehicle for an up and coming star and straight to DVD release. Or as a movie to give Tom Cruise a tougher image.

Hey Moose...welcome to the forum...glad to have you aboard...I really don't know what to tell you about Ginny Ortiz...maybe its her maybe it isn't...you just never know! however, there was another thread going about Paul Greco...there were two pictures that stated it was him on imdb.com but really didn't look like him...so there is a 50-50 chance that could be Ginny Ortiz or maybe it isn't...I guess we'll have to wait for more info if anybody finds anything relating to the real Candy store girl and not some other woman with the same name

Why do you want to find her so much, do you fancy her or something?
Nah seriously, we always like to know whats going on with the heros of our movie. To stand up to Luther is a heroic act, the Candy store girl should have got paid more.
Let us know if you venture further into the world of the Candy store girl - it could taste ever so sweet.

I'm just really curious.
On another note.
What is a girl doing clerking at night in a open store front in a bad neighbourhood?

Re: What happened to Ginny Ortiz?
Well, if the former actress Ginny Ortiz is actually now the Library Clerical Supervisor for the Aliso Viejo Library, they would probably know. Here is their phone number: (949) 360-1730, and here is their address:
Aliso Viejo Library
1 Journey
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
I'd call and ask them myself, but I'd sort of feel like a dumbass, for some reason. So someone else should and post the results!

Haha, no, I'm not lying Adam88...although I guess I can see why one would be suspicious. Google the address and name and you'll see the number's legit. Maybe I'll call 'em this weekend since no one else stepped up to the plate, haha.
Re: What happened to Ginny Ortiz?
Don't worry randomfactor, I don't think your lying
Good luck with the call.
