I just don't like people passing judgement on things long before they come out. The same thing happened with all the other GTA games, and they were all awesome. I'm making a big deal out of it because I'm tired of the fanboy rage that has overwhelmed the internet over this game.

There are to be five boroughs. Broker (Brooklyn), Bohan (The Bronx), Algonquin (Manhattan), Dukes (Queens), and Alderney (New Jersey). Staten Island gets the shaft here. It's by no means an accurate representation of New York, and the map is slightly smaller than that of San Andreas. However, every inch of the map is going to be a highly detailed city, rather than the miles and miles of empty woods and farmland that covered San Andreas.

I don't know what all of you are on about with him being a boring character. According to the Game Informer article I posted in the other GTA4 thread on this forum, he is an Eastern European who came over to America in order to live the American dream, only to be thrust into a life of crime. That's a hell of a lot more interesting than "YO SUP MAH DOGS IMA COME BACK FROM LIBERTY CITY TO REENACT EVERY GANGSTA MOVIE EVER!! BTW, GROVE STREET FOR LYFE!!"

Also, he is likely from former Yugoslavia, judging from his name, looks, and accent.

Honestly, I don't know why you are all passing judgement. There is almost no info out, a one minute long teaser, and a ton of fanboy speculation. The game comes out in October, plenty of time for them to release all the info on him. Slow down a little.

Oh, and swan_jax, the commercials for the other games you refer to all came out about a month before the release of the game. Look around for the first ever commercials released for all three of them and you will see they were all similar. Landscape shots, vehicle shots, pedestrian shots, and not very much else. Again, calm down. You'll get your action filled commercials closer to the release date.

Looks like the only one that needs to calm down is this guy, oviously we all have our point of views, and the majority of people think the character is boring.. wich he does look.

OH my god, people Rockstar released a minute long trailer for the love of god stop hating on the character! It's just stupid blind hate for no reason, hey there could be no Grand Theft Auto 4 so stop complaining and be happy that they made another one. Also like I said they released a one minute trailer to hype up the game. By the summer there will be more trailers and news, images so stop hating on a game trailer....

I'm sorry if I seem somewhat crazy about this, but after slogging through 2000 posts of "OMG ROCKSTAR IS TEH FAGOT" on the other forum I visit, I have gotten kind of snappy when it comes to people judging the whole game based on a minute of footage. Think what you want, but I am firmly in the waiting for more footage camp. Like I said, we'll probably have to wait a few more months for a good trailer, so I will wait until then to make any kind of judgement call. Until then, I will trust the company that has brought out the best series on the PS2 and never once let us down.

how can he look boring. just because he's not running around with an RPG in the trailer doesnt mean he's boring. this guy looks like a dark and scary middle eastern criminal. i like the more serious approach, its way better than the gangster theme which i didn't really like in san andreas. i prefer this guy, he looks like a cool and clever criminal who is in to organised crime which I like.

But the trailer wasn't supposed to be shooting and all that, it was supposed to show the city, and show off the graphics.

But still, compared to the other gta trailers, it was the worst, The GTA3 one was my favourite, since it was the first 3d one.
