Re: "Were acting like faggots!"
I always got the impression that ajax's charector was a little older than most of the others. I know ajax gets some flack on here for being some kind of reckless type, but i always thought he was looking out for the rest of his gang. He was making sure everyone else was making it to safety and no one gets left behind.
He does this sevral times in the film. He's the first through the fence when they escape into the grave yard, yet he waits at the other side to make sure everyone has got through.
He stays behind the rest when they leave the under-pass in the nowhere to run scene.
When the cops try to catch them at the 96 station. Ajax stays behind to slow the cops down and give the others more of a chanceto get away.
It reminds me a bit of the old vietnam war themed films, where one soldier would take point and another would walk a few paces behind the rest so the squad dont get japped.

Bingo! Everyone thinks Ajax was a jerk. But, if you actually look at the movie you'll see he's not. He stays behind and makes sure everyone is safe.Ninth Delegate wrote: I always got the impression that ajax's charector was a little older than most of the others. Ajax the Brave certainly isn't a total jerk. Notice most of the delegate gang like him.
Yet due to unspecific past history, he has a problem with Swan....and when he takes command, Ajax can't take this.
Thing is, Ajax's problem is being impulsive. Wanting to fight a busload of raging and angry skin-headed Turnbull ACs aint exactly smart.
Plus, the park bench incident. He has a one-track mind, and it lands him a one-way ticket to jail.

Maybe he thought 'We can take these bald headed F@*#s' then turned around to the rest of the Warriors only to see them running away so he though 'ah, maybe not'

Re: "Were acting like faggots!"
I agree. However, I don't think he has a problem with Swan, he just don't like taking orders from noone. He probably only took orders from Cleon because Cleon was the unquestionable leader, while Swan was like a temporary replacement. On another note, am I the only one that thinks the Turnbulls coulda caught the Warriors if they woulda hit the brakes? I mean, they knew the Warriors were goin for the subway, so shouldn't the driver have maybe slowed down a bit as they approach the stairs instead of keepin it floored?RRA wrote: Ajax the Brave certainly isn't a total jerk. You dropped the gun?!?! That is not gangsta, that is so not gangsta!
Re: "Were acting like faggots!"
Why didn't the Turnbull ACs slow down?
They were pumped up on adrenaline, and wanted to bash the skulls of the Warriors right in. If they had thought rationally, and strategically placed that squadron of soldiers, the Warriors would have been wrecked right there.
Also, perhaps the ACs assumed, wrongly, that the trians wouldn't be arriving at the station until later, giving them time to chase, pin down, and exterminate the Warriors.
Back to Swan/Ajax, you might be right.

Re: "Were acting like faggots!"
maybe he wasn;t sayig what he was saying...meaning he doesn't really know what he's talking about...but 1 more proof that he ain't scared is that he so-called risked his life for his gang as he took a second or so to show the finger to the turnbulls and ended up behind the others...
