Which director would make the best "alternate" cut of the Wa

Post by Scurvy Dog »

I thought this would be a fun idea - we all dog on the 2008 Tony Scott version of the film, but what if, just for fun, there was another cut of the same movie using mostly the same cast? Which director's version do you think you'd like the most?

I only picked a handful of directors, so if you can think of any others, add them in.

I think an Oliver Stone cut of the film would be interesting - focusing of course on the conspiracy of Luther shooting Cyrus but blaming the Warriors.

i think it would be quite good if quentin tarantino made it. i've always wanted to see a more bloody and gory version. the end scene on the beach with luther and the riffs could be real gory.

I picked other. I think Walter Hill might have a good shot at doing it pretty cool.   In other words, I don't like to think about it being made by anyone else.

But this is a good topic.

i chose quentin as like, Scurvy Dog, i would also want a more gory or violent version of the warriors, with more fights. or if i chose my own directior, it may be george lucas..haha just joking... walter hill might be better in his second wind directing the warriors..

So you're saying a different director than Hill back in 1979 with the original cast right?  Kinda of tough, Quentin wasn't around then, and I really don't like to think that blood, gore, brutality would be needed to elevate the film.  Remember this is a film where the theme is meeting to form a way of getting along in an otherwise wasteland, no future type society.

I'll take Oliver Stone, he has a mean look to him, and I am sure he could best extract those mean performances from Michael Besk and James Remar.

I just wished that the film didn't have Ajax get caught.  Glad to see that even Hill hated seeing Remar go down after seeing the complete film.
What's the matter - goin' faggot?
