i think the fact that masai nodded his head after swan says "the best" he might not agree with him but he respects what these men have just done and wouldnt react to that statement out of respect for them!plus he maybe felt a little guilt cause after all their night was they way it was because of masai!

I think Masai actually agreed that the Warriors were the best, going through a night like that only the best would make it. It seems to me that the Riffs werent like any typical gang, they were more like a kind of supervising gang, like the authority of the gang world. They were in a league of their own and realised that the Warriors were the best 'ordinary' gang.

that actually sounds logical, the riffs were the biggest gang yes, but the warriors made it with their leader killed etc,

he's basically telling the riffs that the warriors are somebody and that they should be put on the riffs network.  That's what i think

i think masai would respect that because thay had just fought their way from one side of new york to the other with every gang member in the city trying to kill them i doubt even the riffs could do this with 9 members
