back in the day, people of warrior status (250+ posts) could give or take away (thus leading into negative points) karma points, it was a way of showing good posters from bad. The Decline of karma points was when a group of "NewBloods" became of Warrior status and brought revenge upon the "Warriors" of our beloved forum. Chaos broke loose and karma was taken away and the forum also received a face lift. Since then the forum has been improving itself everyday with most new members taking this place seriously. Although there is still "Hoodlums" The Warriors Forum is a great place to chat and take part of intellectual activities. I will admit the last couple months have been bad for me on the forum but I am on a road to recovery, rather, "Forum Rehab".
hm..sounds good...so now i know what is karma...and the way you say it, cool...haha like a real storyline.... :D

i like the idea of the banned list but not karma. karma was a disaster when newbloods kept making stupid post and getting -40 karma and complainin about it.
the calendar would be a good idea too, its quite hard to remember the dates of events so it would be a good addition and would save time as you wouldn't have to spend ages searching for the topic with the date.

Scurvy Dog wrote: Isn't it just as easy to post the fan fiction when it's finished? I know not everyone has Microsoft Word, but most people should be able to save a text file in notepad. That way you can write it, save it while you're working on it, and post it as a completed work. If you don't have a computer of your own and don't want to save it on a public terminal, I can see where it would come in handy then.

You do realize you can modify your posts, though, right? Post the story as you need to, and click modify post. You can even change the title.
I believe you misunderstand good sir.

What is proposed is a section for fan fictions that are completed. That way you don't have to wade through all the ones that are still in progress or abandoned if you want to read a full story.

Gramercy you totally understand
It's so people dont have to search for their fave stories ad just go into the finished fan fic section and there it is but like i said if they were finished a month ago way too late to be moved.

think stevo2k7 posted this idea somewhere, i think it could work.

New bloods having to pass a multiple choice quiz before they can post in the main forum.
They may not have to get 10/10 just a reasonable number.
Also, there mistakes should be highlighted so they learn.
Could be done.

Or they could just actually take 2 minutes out of there life to actually read the freakin rules!

yes that was me with that idea thankyou for bringing my point forward its appreciate brother :D.
and if they get a decent mark for the little test then they have no excuse in the future to keep being silly, so then ban warning cuould be givin then ban for a week, then if they keep doping silly things ban their account for good. that system could work, hope a moderator will pm me their thoughts or just put them on here :D

Scurvy Dog wrote: Ah. Gotcha. So the mods would move "finished" work to the other section? To make something like that work correctly, it would have to have restricted access - otherwise, you'd have people starting and abandoning stories within that section.

What if stories that were abandoned were deleted after a certain amount of time with no activity?
To your first point, it is mind numbingly easy to change the permissions on the board to say "Only mods can post here." That's how they're keeping us all from posting in the main forums now, I think.

To your second post, I wouldn't like that one too much. I'm known for leaving a story, then getting interested again months later to update it.

But now that my ban was over ive been behaving and they keep banning me for no reasons like ( discussion of illegal activity, or talking about real gangs, or overposting, which i dont do, i keep track of my posts,) this has happened to me before and i had to email warchief about it, and he said that yeah, it was a mistake but it keeps repeating.

Yeah jp, you're right. My friends have gotten banned and never came back, but they didn't do anything! It's rediculous!

Has anyone else noticed the there are two '' smilies when you go to post? Maybe one could get eliminated and leave room for another one from the 'More' list.

you know i hear alot of people crying about bans and such

no one is never banned for NO REASON off the jump

somtimes you get banned we let it go and the triggers stay up wich bans you...

but heres a idea DONT EVER BREAK THE RULES! THEN YOUR NEVER BANNED! and you dont have to worry about it...

honestly alot of you are jumpin on us of late about rules, bans, the forum in general and it would be safe to say that almost any of you who joined in the last 6 months to a year couldent keep this place going....so untill you try it, dont knock us.....it better terms, shut your faces or start walking out

love
