smoking ban in ohio....

hello everyone i live in ohio and theres this new ban that was passed for voting yesterday... it is that you cannot smoke unless your at home or in your car....i dont smoke but i thin this is a bit like communism...
business owners should get to decide whether or not they want smoking or not...your not even allowed to smoke in bars......
i think the government is going a bit to far....

a smoking ban has just come into effect in England. no smoking in public places or the workplace. i think its great. why should i have to suffer from passive smoking when i don't smoke. it really annoys me because i have asthma and it really hurts if i breath it in when someone is smoking near me

i smoke at weekends and we all av to go outside the clubs and things i aint bothered about it coz i dont smoke alot, but went out round town last friday and hardly anyone was out lol

Well, the way I see it is clubs and bars, go right ahead and smoke all you want.  They have this law in Nigeria that you cannot smoke with children around you. i.e. in the car.  If the kids are under 13, you get fined, the younger the child the more expensive the fine.  I don't smoke, never have.

I don't smoke( of course i don't i'm 13 ) but my parents do but they go outside every time, i tell ya i hate them smoking could end there life at any time. I got this thing called Broncitas from it.

Really, I think it's a stupid idea. If people don't like it when people are smoking around you, you can ask them to leave, or leave yourself. If 2nd hand smoke is a lethal as smoking a cigerette, then don't go around people when they are smoking, simple as that. Besides, alomst half of the population does smoke, around 70% of people between 13 and 19 do smoke, they can't get in to bars or clubs, where are they supposed to go?

some valid points there but, but between 13 and 17 they n not allowed to drink anyway so shudnt be in pubs and clubs, as for others, yeah theres always good points for both sides but its the law, but ppl wont come out on nights out if they have to go outside and good point if they dont like smoke leave but they want to have a night out to, if they balanced it a bit and had smoking areas like weatherspoons had, would maybe solve some of the problem?
