How Come Masai Belived The Witness so Easily
I mean think about it yeah ok he said he SAW who shot cyrus but Luther said he SAW cleon shoto cyrus.
So why did Masai belive this witness more than Luther
P.s. I used search about this topic twice and nothing came up so sorry if its been mentioned before.

We didn't see an actual conversation, so maybe the witness just had a very convincing story, whereas all Luther did was run around screaming during a chaotic mob scene.

yeah they didnt look very genuine, and they probs heard about the kind of rep the rogues have, and the guy actually bothered to go to the hangout alone by the looks of it and say who really did it

In all the Chaos, it seemed like Cleon and the Rogues were the only ones around the Riffs when Luther makes his accusation - so if some guy showed up an described the shooter as a scrawny Rogue with long hair, crazy eyes and a headband instead of a hat (basically a description of the guy who fingered the Warriors to begin with) it would all click and be a little too coincidental to not believe him.
Plus, if the Warriors had a gun, they would have surely used it as they bopped back home and Masai, who struck me as a thinker, must have been wondering why "the ones who shot Cyrus", hadn't shot anyone else that night.

I think that The Riffs were smart enough to know that they were the gang with the biggest reputation and were the most feared gang because of their numbers and elite fighting skills and The Riffs influenced all the turf in the New York borough and knew that no one would even try to bluff The Riffs because The Riffs could find him waste him and the gang he belongs to so when this gang member by stander came to The Riffs and said it wasn't The Warriors who shot Cyrus it was The Rogues and as Stevo said I was thinking this two The Riffs would of known that The Rogues were crazy brawlers and their leader was a complete mental who had a good time killing people so it was pretty believable that The Rogues framed The Warriors and then when they went to Coney Island it was more evidence that it was The Rogues and not The Warriors.

Re: How Come Masai Belived The Witness so Easily
all of these are good points but we didn't know how that conversation went down for all we know it could of gone something like Luthers
Witness:The rogues are the ones. They shot cyrus.
Masai;How do you know.
Witness:I saw them. Theyre' the ones..they're the ones. The rogues did it not the warriors the rogues did it. The rogues did it.
For all we know it could of happened like that the most unlikely way but we'll never know.

I think masai believed the witness so easily luther was a known psycopath. and as someone else said the Warriors would've used the gun to help themselves in the brawls aginst the furies, the lizzies, or the punks.

exactly, the warriors brawled past not shot past the other gangs,

Re: How Come Masai Belived The Witness so Easily
Interesting question. Its actualy hard to say. We really don't know what happened off camera. Maybe after that witnessed approached them, Masai checked more into the background of the Rouges, and what kind of people they truley are. So maybe it wasn't so much of what the winess said, but rather the lifestylesbetween the warriors and the rouges. I am not saying the warriors are so innocent, after all we really don't know of their past. But possible Masai got second thoughts, some how checked on the reputation of the gangs, and saw that The Warriors were more honotable, and more of a humane group of people. After all they are the Riffs, and with them, anything can happen. Masai most likely took a step back, and some hoe realized the types of paths these two factions lead, and saw the obvious choice. The witness just merely tipped the ice berg. Now it hard to look at the hearts of individual, and see who they are as people. But Masai managed to, and sensed the greater evil, and that was luther.

Probably due to the fact that the guy went to the trouble of going to the Riffs and tellin them , and I doubt he would do that unless he had good reason to.

I am sure Masai realize that the gang member was not going to walk in their headquarters and risk his life and that of his gang just to tell a lie. I am sure he also provided convincing details.

Re: How Come Masai Belived The Witness so Easily
I think every gang knows everything(more or less) about others...sure they knew Warriors:where they r from, uses, way of reasoning...and more...
Riffs had to know more than other gangs, and 4 me they killed Cleon cause he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, otherwise they didn't easily believe a crazy man as luther was!

Re: How Come Masai Belived The Witness so Easily
in the mob scene there was just chaos and no-one realy seemed to be in charge of the riffs at that moment so everybody just attaked cleon but after when that guy goes to meet masai he had time to think about it and think about whatever that guy said
